  1. I was tempted to drive the Ruski tank, but didnt :banghead:. We'll be going back this year when I will get in one. It was dirt cheap I reckon though. FGrom what I remember about £25 for the T72(?) and about £10 for the recce vehicle. They bring the tanks out one day a week, drive them around and offer out rides. We went there in 2006, and want to go back there! Its a great little museum as well, and you can wander round their workshop/scrapyard. Its a good place for bits especially, Churchills, Sherman and Stolly's to name a few. :-D

  2. Thought I would share a few pics (if Ive mastered photobucket right) I took at the Isle of Wight Tank Museum. One day in the week they run a few of the tanks around, and for a few pennies you can have a go at driving them.

  3. Just watched (again) Band of Brothers episode Carentan. In the sequence where our BOB's get attacked first thing in the morning from the hedge on the hill there is a German tank I dont recognise. It is the heavy tank which is taken out by the 2 infantrymen using a PIAT. Does anyone know what it is? :dunno:

  4. ....... :-o........

...3 ferrets..... not just content with the one then! Ive still got the remains of my steel back, although it has been cut up. the floor was rotten but the sides were ok and original, so we cut off the sides and have them in storage. Am putting a wooden back on to start with. So if you need any measurements etc let me know, it is very heavy guage steel and wieghs a ton. ;-)

  5. Looks like a few 4x4 clubs use that, maybe someone with links there could arrange a "Run what ya brung day" to put their pride and joys throgh what they were designed for, rather than sitting pretty in a workshop!! Or are you all scared of MUD! :-D :-D
