Well I was thinking of buying it but I think he wants more than I can afford. Its an ebay item no. 190066821988, he's offering delivery at £1 per mile and has got a £2000 reserve on it. Probably suit greatwartruck better than me! :schocked:

Does anyone know anything about the Bergman Electric Lorry, made in Germany around 1912 and its use in WW1 by the Germans? Have just clocked one for sale- well, chassis anyway.

Thanks all!

Can someone tell me what the initials "CFN" refer to when used as "Present Rank" on an Army release certificate from the REME 1945. :dunno:

Can someone tell me if the tank museum is having a tankfest this year and if so what is the likely date for it so I can book the time off work.

Getting the Morris up and running before Easter in time for some shows this year!
Getting another MV(maybe something smaller for everyday).
Getting my other half to realise the appeal of big green machines.
Getting her to donate some of her money to my cause!

I got socks, also a good book of Daily Mail photos from WW2, good photos if you have an MW. :-)

Thanks, admittedly I have seen better one in photos of Dunkirk, but we all have to start somewhere! Will try and do something of the restoration, in the restoration bit, if I get the time and the faith in photobucket sorted! Any spares gratefully received/given! ;-)

Welcome, I was going to buy a CMP as my first vehicle a couple of years ago, there seemed to be loads around, on MILWEB, Ebay etc, yet when it came to looking for one this year I couldnt find one- whys that then??

With a 10 month old daughter and a Morris to support I cant afford to go to the pub! :-(
On a lighter note, it looks worse than it is. We've stripped the body off which will mostly need replacing, all flat panels tho(thank you Mr Morris), it goes for sandblasting in the New Year and will undoubtedly need some welding to the chassis. We've got the engine turning over on the starter, just need the spark plugs to leap into action now and I will be happier once I know the engines ok.

What are the regs for having lights on a 60 year old vehicle. Do you have to fit indicators?

Anyone ever been to the Isle of Wight tank museum, they got a good little collection of vehicles plus a great tank scrapyard out the back you can wander round, bits of Churchills, Shermans Stollys etc.
