  1. A second bit of good news was last Friday I went to pick up a second halftrack. This halftrack was found in a scrap yard after being used for taking telegraph poles up mountains in Wales. it caught fire so was taking to the scrap yard, but a passer by seen it and bought it because he didn't want to see it be cut up. There is not enough there to rebuild it but the chassis good and that is what I want for mine. There is some other good bits on it but a lot is too far gone where it has been left outside. the top engine cover has rotted away, the core plugs are pushed out, the gear box is solid, the steering column is bent, the rubber on the rollers have separated from the metal wheels ect. One surprise we did have though is when we removed the back deck, the original floor along with radio junction boxes, locker lids ect still in it. Here is some pictures of it and the work me and my uncle Jason Jefferies did the weekend.
  2. a few weeks ago I took my halftrack to a local show. we painted it green and put a ammo trailer on the back. for the condition it is in, I didn't look to bad and the locals loved it as a lot of them had never seen a halftrack before.
  3. Hello I have an M5/M14 halftrack and it has a Ford cargo diesel engine in it, loads of power and go,s really well. Jamie
  4. We was leaving for Weymouth last year, and we must of got a mile or so down the road, the gear box went on the Diamond T in the middle of the road. So we off loaded the Sherman and towed both the Diamond T and Roger's trailer back to Jim's farm. From there we decided that it would have to be looked at and changed some time, so why not now? Jim started to take the floor out the Diamond as me and my uncle went back to his to get a spare gear box he had. We took to box out the Diamond, striped the spear box and made a good one out of the two. We eventually left for Weymouth at 10 o'clock at night and drove for 7 and a half hours for the show. Here a few pictures.
  5. Hi guys Here is a few pictures of my uncles (Jason Jefferies) Diamond T and Rogers trailer taking around Jim Clark's Sherman tank.

  7. The answer to your question is yes, i hope. My grandad has said he is going to get atleast one (the complete one) up together and running. Personaly id like to see it all working but leave the paint work as it is with all the original markings left on it.
  8. Thanks for the infomation. I been thinking about doing it as a M14 without the turret. I have got pictures of the british using them like it. I also like the idea of the ambulance look as i cant say i have seen one like it before? As it will never be 100% original i have also been thinking about turning it into an M5 or M5A1 and using it for re-enactor purposes, so many people can get the enjoyment out of it. All ideas, pictures and information welcome
