You're wrong!
I did have Payed for Macfee installed and the virus deliberately attacked that before attacking the windows program
Avast home addition is free and is s++t hot. It cleaned my infected comp and got it working perfect again. It also warns you when you may be going on to a site which is known to have malware and the like. I use my comp for P2P file sharing and we know how many virus's lurk on them things and i've never had one virus come through. You can also do a boot scan with it. I recommend it.
PS i work in no way for Advast even tho that does look like a Sales Pitch :-D
Eddie
I used to use Avasthome edition for free and always found it ok,but since buying a new pc that came preloaded with Norton that seems ok too

If using syntetic paint idea, will it make the canvas a bit stiff and does it crack and peel off?
If using fence stuff, will it not stink?
Any chance of a link to the thread about the B&Q fence stuff idea please?
Cheers
I have replied to your pm after searching the other forum for the thread but also have found the product that both proofs and colours canvas ,it is called fabsil and I think is made by a company called Johnsons
hope this of some help

sorry to hear your bad news Neil, but if it is any help my mum was diagnosed with diabetes several years ago but as long as she is sensible about following her diet it seems to have very little effect on her

could afield just outside town be used to park up all the non armoured vehicles allowing the armour access to town but also allowing all attending to travel in one convoy thus saving the organisation of 2 seperate convoys on 2 days?

this very question was asked some time ago on a ww2 reenacting forum and the general concensus was to use water based fence treatment from B&Q ,this comes in a variety of colours ,is cheap and can be sprayed with a cheap garden sprayer

Nigel,
I know that Austins carried on in service right into the 1950's with the army. More than likely the Morris Tillies were disposed of, after the war, and / or passed on to other countries as military aid.
this would make sense and perhaps the fact that morris survived as a company longer than at leaststandard gives a false impression of the size of the company.
Out of interest do you know which countries would have recieved the tillys after the war?
-
yes but i'd imagine that the authorities would make money on the sale of 2 vehicles they have never maintained
as opposed to spending money on vehicles they have to
this is a good point but remember a major source of revenue for Normandy is battlefield tourism so unless they have something else to place at the memorial then surely this is not the best forward planning ,also remember this is a memorial to thier own troops

Nigel,
Morris is probably the rarest of them all. In numbers, I would say highest is Austin, then Hillman, Standard and Morris. Our new member Mike will be able to give a good estimate from the Tilly Register records though.
thanks for that Richard ,I am surprised about Morris being so rare I really would have expected there to be more of them than Hillman or Standard as I assumed they were a bigger company

it seems quite ironic that these 2 vehicles are going to be restored in France by an obviously dedicated enthusiast yet the French authorities can allow 2 similar vehicles plus an m8 armoured car on the Le Clerc memorial on Utah Beach to fall into disrepair and crumble to dust due to a lack of a simple coat of paint

past parts have got a good name among classic car restorers and as far as I can remember I have never heard any complaints about thier work,

does anyone on here kinow how many tillys are left and how the numbers breakdown between the different manufacturers? I assume morris and austin are more common than standard or hillman
