  1. where were you staying in Normandy ?was it Ivy House? we are going there in august, should be good!Guernsey is indeed an excellent place to see fortifications and battery Mirus is indeed impressive but get permission first as it is all on private land ,Nigel

  2. Every boxing day an informal gathering of vehicles takes place on Sarrat common herts close to a pub called the boot ,there is always a good selection of vehicles coming and going between 11am and 2pm .Vehicles range from bicycles to traction engines and there is ussually several military vehicles around .I will be taking my m20 and hope to see a few other mv s about, get away from the turkey for a while and take a nice trip into the countryside, you know it makes sense,, Nigel

  3. I went to this event and although it was not well supported it was well organised and is based at a very good museum with plenty to interest all the family including local history a good collection of motorcycles including some unique machines and of course the visiting vehicles etc.I for one will definitley attend next year on my m20 and hopefully can tempt a few other local military bike owners to attend as it would obviously be an ideal meeting point for anyone in NW London Nigel

  4. Hi guys just a quick question m20s are supposed to be fairly common as over 126000 were built during the war but whenever I go to a show very few seem to be about I only saw 2 at beltring 1 at operation ajax and none at chiltern open air museum prelude to d day but 3 in 4 days in Guernsey ,have they all retired to the channel islands or are they all as good at breaking down as mine is? cheers Nigel
