  1. I think the truck photos, are of the same plane being towed, 2nd from last photo has the truck.. Keith
  2. These came in the post today. RAF trucks. First photo looks to be taken in the Med, see mosque in the top right. The truck towing the plane past an army camp what looks to be in the UK , but the crew dont look like british [the hats look more like from the US or from OZ or NZ in the photos. Not an expert on planes, the name on the side of the plane looks like Blotto?. Keith

  6. Original Photos from my collection of my ex morris with the firepower gun on the back. They put the tube the wrong way round and it took ages to get out of the hall, had to have a army guy with me in case i drove out with it. There is a film on video of them used in Korea by 120 Mortar Battery 61st Light Regiment Royal Artillery Korea 1951 - 1953 towed with morris trucks. I do have a copy somewhere. The other original photo listed by rnixartillery [ 2nd from bottom brown colour] is from my collection was taken at larkhill in the 1950s Keith

  8. Here is an original photo of RAF crossleys in ww2 from my collection.. I think the 3rd one down from the right, lookes like the one in the barn and one near the end for left looks a bit worse for whare . Keith

  10. Bought a photo of 6 Royal Tank Corps in Egypt in the 1930s and found this truck with 4 wheels on the front and wonder if they fitted an extra wheel for better grip in the sand ?. Vickers medium Mk II tanks in the background. Keith

  12. Yes photo was taken in the 30s and thanks for the unit ID. I have just bought 20 original photos of this unit / tank. Tank numbers reg in the other photos MT 9621 & MT 9625. One tank has the name Crusader on it. Keith
  13. Thanks Alex, It was great to take it to Arnhem and meet our many friends over there, i must say i miss my 1944 morris C8 that we took over to Arnhem. Going to Portugal not for a while yet. Keith
  14. I wonder who won the tug of war with a Vickers tank, i think they put the rope around the NAFFI ? or there was one other tank at the back of the NAFFI . Original photo from my collection. Keith
  15. Sad to say but i am thinking of selling our 1938 humber car as we will be moving abroad . Might swap for a jeep.

  17. I have been informed it could be a RAF Camp as there are some RAF signs on the trucks and trailers and the small trailers could be for fuel. Just need to find a RAF station / camp that had a railway line at the end of ww1 and just after . RAF Henlow? Manston,? Calshot,? Halton,? Keith

  20. Some more original PC photos. These are of Longmoor camp. First one dated 1905. 2nd photos i put side by side. Pre WW1, then close up of them.. You can see the brick building in the first and last photo and can see how the railway is comeing along . I used to live in Borden camp that is near by longmoor camp [ just down the line ]. We had our 2 week training camp there in the 1980s. Keith
  21. As there is so much interest i will put the whole photo up, any idea of what the limbers are for. Sorry i have to put KB collection across the photos as people use them with out any reference to the source. If any one would like i can put up some original Longmoor military railway photos ww1 or pre ww1. Keith
