These came in the post today. RAF trucks. First photo looks to be taken in the Med, see mosque in the top right. The truck towing the plane past an army camp what looks to be in the UK , but the crew dont look like british [the hats look more like from the US or from OZ or NZ in the photos. Not an expert on planes, the name on the side of the plane looks like Blotto?. Keith

Original Photos from my collection of my ex morris with the firepower gun on the back. They put the tube the wrong way round and it took ages to get out of the hall, had to have a army guy with me in case i drove out with it. There is a film on video of them used in Korea by 120 Mortar Battery 61st Light Regiment Royal Artillery Korea 1951 - 1953 towed with morris trucks. I do have a copy somewhere. The other original photo listed by rnixartillery [ 2nd from bottom brown colour] is from my collection was taken at larkhill in the 1950s Keith

Morris C8 replied to Morris C8's topic in Pre WW2 vehicles
I have been informed it could be a RAF Camp as there are some RAF signs on the trucks and trailers and the small trailers could be for fuel. Just need to find a RAF station / camp that had a railway line at the end of ww1 and just after . RAF Henlow? Manston,? Calshot,? Halton,? Keith -

Some more original PC photos. These are of Longmoor camp. First one dated 1905. 2nd photos i put side by side. Pre WW1, then close up of them.. You can see the brick building in the first and last photo and can see how the railway is comeing along . I used to live in Borden camp that is near by longmoor camp [ just down the line ]. We had our 2 week training camp there in the 1980s. Keith -
