  1. No digs implied or taken... I agree with you both 100%

1st thing i did when I got the dodge was whack indicators on it & get a second brake light fitted as its got more blind spots than you can shake a white stick at & manoevering the things in close proximity to other road users is a bit of a trial at times. Gotta say that shattered windscreen is a convicing argument for some form of physical restraint in these older trucks (mine included)

  2. Or perhaps the brakes on the Chevy weren't any good...

    Or low sun

    Or poor road surface

Or bad driving (it does happen, even amongst MV owners)

Point is, t's bit hard to speculate from the pics as to cause...

no doubt the story will come out in the fullness of time

lets wait 'n' see & hope those involved come out okay

they're only tin boxes at the end of the day :dunno:

  3. Hi Steve, it lives at my mum and dads (nr kendal, lake district)

but my inlaws live just up the road from Thorpe Abbots

& I've seen quite a few pictures of dodges at Thorpe Abbots so i thought i'd have a go. Gotta say i'm quite please with the way its come out

I've been offered a stripped out 1970's office trailer that'd be ideal behind it as a flight control trailer (I've even found a plexiglass dome to go in the lid!) but it may be a bit big to cart around... :dunno:

Looks better with the lid off but the weather was closing in last night :-(

  4. Hi George Welcome to the Jungle,

    Sounds an interesting project

There are a few MV's in your neck of the woods that'd fit the bill

I'm in the Lake District so a bit far sooth but you'll no doubt find the MV's come out of the woodwork when a bit of fame is in the offing!!

How big are the trailers/dressing rooms :-D

Don't apologise for the Warlord / Victor thing as many of us no doubt were set along this path by their exploits in our formative years... i know i was

    "Eat this Fritz"

    "Aaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeee"

    ratatatatatatatatatatatatatatat!

  5. They're a good idea, I might have a go at making some.

A bit less traumatic on the passengers posteriors...

Incidentally did you know that there is a medical condition known as a Pilodynal Sinus (basically a badly ingrown/damaged hair root that causes an abcess & extrememe discomfort in the, well bot crack)

What the hell has this got to do with it you ask...

During the war this was a common problem among drivers and became known (to the allies at least) as 'Jeep Arse' (or 'Jeep Ass') depending which side of the pond you were from.

    So there y'go

Now where did that pink cusion go...

  6. dunno what you mean *hic*

    Good work that man!

There'll be another row of medals on your jacket when you get back

and another storey on your house

Agents 50 & 50 are preparing to go 'undercover' as we speak...

deployment imminent... standby for a supply drop

Mark DZ with red flares or failing that purple slacks & a nice knitted tank top

    massage ends :-D

  7. Rounds do seem to pop up in nooks & crannies

I found about a dozen fired .38 brass pistol shells wedged in a gap in the floor in the back of the truck when cleaning it out for painting

all 1980's dated no live ones thankfully

    :shake:
