UOTE=ruggyjohn;463135]filled steering box with oil after replacing gaskets and left overnight to check for leaks, next morning all dry so fitted to pioneer, one day later oil dripping from cross shaft which takes the steering arm, bu**er, looked in manual and see there is a cork seal in there, (very high tech) remove box from vehicle and strip to find a roller from the top taper bearing floating about inside, so a lucky escape all round, could just see the pioneer disappearing through somebodys house if it had jammed the steering, so all in bits and waiting for the parts to arrive, putting a modern oil seal in instead of the cork, got to be an improvement. so i think it was 1 step forward 3 steps back this time. -

whichever you choose make sure you get enough to do the job and a bit spare as colour can change slightly between batches. -

winch control to repair, trying to fill all the holes in the dash with gauges and switches, and floor going in, never thought laying new boards would be so hard and take so much time. -
looks very good, going back together is always satisfying, where did you get the leather from for the rear hub seals, could probably do with replacing mine.

sorry ed, my mistake, going from memory which is always fatal, when you said master cylinder i imediately thought of a hydraulic system not the air valve, should have had a look before i opened my mouth, and yes just looked on the spares shelf and i have one complete with stainless circlips, yours for a fiver including postage, if i send it to be signed for it will be another quid. hope this is of use to you. john. -

hi niels, yes i can get you another but its work in progress at the moment, this is the 1st one they have made, i am working with them on it to get it to look right, diameter of tube has gone up by 1/4 of an inch to enable thicker wall tube to be used, silencer box is the same dimensions as original with the same baffles, flanges slightly larger, when mine is finished i will be able to give you a price for a complete system. -

Maybe worth dropping the diesel tank of and steam cleaning it if your still getting crap in your new filter, if it is dirt in the fuel tank it could block the pickup pipe . -

New front panel now done, used the old one as a template, even with the mag drill it took most of the day to drill all the holes.
