  3. just to throw a spanner in the works mine was a mk1 converted to mk2 standard had rfc fitted them removed converted to acv and up armored and served in NI as you can see where the light guards were fitted and removed and possibly the hull may have been electrified?as its got funny brackets inside but still retains a mk2 drivers seat.

  14. i would of thought they would be for storage,i've seen pics and the top is loaded with kit.with the full set of radios the inside is smaller than a ferret, one of the other guys on the pageant had his fully radioed and it was cramped to say the least i'll try to find the photos i took and post them.
  15. so any ideas on the date for a work day yet?
  16. my vision blocks are totally opaque so i need someone up top, personally i wouldn't use them as the blind spots are a nightmare.as for replacing i was going to use the perspex idea but as i don't really use them they are along way down on the list.
  17. i put the clansman intercom in mine as i don't have any radio equipment at the moment,it was easy to install and saved alot of shouting.got it from green machine surplus a few years ago came with 2 headsets and all the other bits needed to install.cost about £130
  18. well done mate looks a lot tidier than mine when i got it!!!
  19. i would of thought anything tacked would be alot harder on the pockets and need far more maintainance? spares aren't a problem. some people do get something that is over their head but this is something that happens everywhere not only in this hobby.ive owned my saracen for eight years and had problems but anyone who owns this type of kit has to be abit cuckoo..lol
  20. believe me i don't feel like it after a day deep in the lower recess's of the saracen...lol something about being a bit rounder than i used to be...ha ha
  21. one of the best things i ever done!!!!! As with anything this age you get problems but i think the pro's outway the cons.
