  1. Wot colour where the V8 engine that where fitted to trucks early WW 11 ??? Also any idea of year of engine No 7037774 ??? T CORBIN
  2. WOT 3 Tructor I have been trying to find the correct colour to repaint it . Very carefully rubbed down paint & found .Red oxide first . Raf blue second . Mat green third . back to Raf blue . More different paints after . I Now have the choice of wot colour to paint it But do not know the year of manufacture Any help Chassis No BB 18 / 7037774 . If it is early 1940 or 1939 it could be in RAF blue ???? T CORBIN
  3. I think they both used the same cab . But their is a difference some have a two piece windscreen & some have one piece . Both used on WOT 1 or WOT 3 . I think the split screen is early.? Any ideas or information .T CORBIN
  4. Rear springs taken apart a clean up bigger job than i thought 28 parts 15 bolts . Per side washed. sandblasted . painted . Heavy springs for such a small truck T CORBIN
  5. Went on its first road run yesterday for an MOT .It passed. But we did take the INTERNATIONAL with just in case but did not use it . The DODGE had not been on the road since its last test in HOLLAND 2008 . Then put them back in the garage. Then to DLVA CHEMLFORD with all the paperwork .Everything was in order and it was registered .First time i have gone there and not have to go back because of something wrong with the paperwork T CORBIN
  6. Brief history . Last owner from 1973 ,He got it from the Swiss army .Give it a coat of OD & used it once a year until 2005.It was still taken for equivalent MOT test in Holland every two years .Until March this year. It has Dutch data plates still one reads 1957 . Later rear lights . electric wipers heater fitted .Hood NO is wrong .It is very original .Will put it back to original 1944 when we get more info on frame NO . T CORBIN
  7. Arrived today from Holland to M25 Lakeside services then to MALDON .Next problem DVLA Chelmsford for registration ? T CORBIN
  8. Has anybody split a V8 & gear box from a low range box ? Cannot get it to split .might have to work from the other end( torque tube ) .Any help or ideas T CORBIN

    Picked up a catalogue today at a auto jumble Don't know the year ? Jeep engine £69--10 sh Chassis/frame 332--10 sh body assembly £28---10sh .16 pages of parts T CORBIN
  10. Cab is waiting to be lifted of the frame But it will need to be braced to stop it moving out of line .As you can see it is far worse than we first thought ( Main out side wood & lower bulked sides ) Can not find chassis No .Anyboby know where it should be T CORBIN
  11. Hi Tony b The paper work has the frame No as 81582896 .Cannot seam to match it up to my information Wot do you think? Will get it back later this month to the UK .Then will start looking at the frame for No T CORBIN

  14. I am now taking the cab apart their is some bad wood that will need replacing .But they are good enough for patterns T CORBIN
  15. Restoration has started . The back has been dismantled to get some new wood parts made . its has alot alterations to the main frame as shown T CORBIN

TRUCTOR LENTH 19 ft ....................... 14/6ft WB 11/11 1/2 ft .................... 8/10 BODY/L 9ft ......................... 5ft BODY W 6/10 ........................ 7ft 1050/16 900/16 Looks like it has be shortened by about 3 ft It is at DAYMONS HALL this weekend . After it will go to my workshop for nut & bolt resteration T CORBIN
  17. Have just found some serial no AT cont No 204/T/S10554 . We think is was converted by ALLAN TAYLOR ? . Dose this firm still exist ? All information would be a help in restoring this truck . It had a lot of interest from people at beltering. It will be going to DAYMONS HALL 0n 7-8 AUG & to the FORD factory on the road run on SAT evening .After that back to my workshop for restoration .

Hi James Nice to have a new member on the forum .With a GTB that will be restored .Looks like you have most of the parts that go missing (GAS TANK SPARE WHEEL CARIRER DRIVERS SEAT ) .As Bas said the steering is as good as power steering . But a lot of turns of wheel to turn the truck on full lock . Plenty of grease & oil in everything that should move . Jack up front end work steering should work lose .T CORBIN This one restored in 2007
