Matador one has no hollow towing hook , but a full casted hook.
-
I want to rescue one , but Don`t know yet , it is complete , but in a difficult area , wished I had a camera with me when I discovered it , it is half sunk in a bog , I think we need one of these Russian recovery teams .
-
I would be interested in it if it is for sale .
About the light , I have got a Cromwell workshop manual , and explains the lights , I can scan it and e mail it .

no no , I know 2 Morris cs8 for sale in Belgium , a 6 cilinder and a 4 cilinder version , each tempting , but I have got enough 15cwt`s .
I can pull it with my Chev C15A wire3 , or my Fordson WOT 2 Radio truck , and Bedford MW and Chev c15 11Cab to choose from .
-
David , yes you can lay down in it , but your legs are sticking up the wall:-D, I got some drawings from the interior , very cramped , if you slide through the door onto your seat at each end , than that is about it .
got frame back from shotblasting today , needs a few holes in the drawbar welded up , didn`t see them before the shot blasting .
will mesure it up , but the dimensions are given in Canada`s fighting vehicles europe 1943 45 . frame is same as mortar trailer and GS .
-
all trailers had an x as starting code , like an A on Ambulances and a T on armoured.
-
-
it is listed in the Canadian fighting vehicle book as being towed by 3 toner
-
the little lamp looks like the one in the Bedford tool picture from John, you can see it on the drivers side mudguard , if John doesn`t need it , I could use it on my early MW.
John contacted me already about the rest.
thanks Maurice

trailer plate says : 10cwt MKII trailer
Cont.no. 294/23/S.2912
W.J.R. Ltd. Ser.no. 4143
rebuilt plate states that it was rebuilt 6/53 and had post war registration 70 ym 21
-
Is there a data plate still on the trailer?
Yes I will check it tonight , even a post war rebuilt plate .
-
it should have a table inside with a R106 and R107 reception set, there should be a turnable antenna on the roof wich could be turned from the inside .

I won't need that much as I am painting it with a OO brush!! No luck at Ernest Doe for cleats so fingers crossed down the forge road
In the local yard over here are body`s taken from 1 ton trailers ex BOAR, and they have the same loops rivited on to them , so maybe these trailers are also lurking around in yards in the uk.
-
I think it is a Bedford from the O type range . gear box shape is GM shape , and bedford had starter motor at left side.
-
Tony are there CDP tracks under your trailer ?
I also still have a 10cwt question , somebody once wrote me an e mail with the dimensions from the wood for the little box on the boom of the trailer , but after changing computer i am unable to open these old mails , does anybody still have these dimensions ? got the hinges and the steel work for it.
thanks

NOS , if thet have a round opening push bar , than probably canadian , some are ford marked (exeption is some DAF1s have round as well , but different angle ) if they have flattened push bar`s than British , but are fitted sometimes to canadian Carriers by British workshops . They are also used on Morris commercials, Fordsons , etc.
