Had the crank reground from 30 to 60 but when it came to fitting the main bearings the Front Intermediate would not sit on the crank due to the width so no end float either. Do I have more metal removed from the crank sides or should I rub down the liners walls to make it fit?
Hi Dave,
Where abouts are you getting your engine work done? As I am considering pulling mine and having the work done in preparation for Normandy

Hi
Deciding what to do about the controller box on the MW, either source a replacement, fit a modern alternative, or go for an alternator? Has anyone considered any of these options, and if so what was fitted!
Hi GPS
I have a set of canvas on order from Steve for a 44 Bedford MWD, spoke to him at W&P and he is busy so they mat take some time to be made.

Picked up parts today from Chris Morter including a new exhaust valve, in conversation found out that there are two types of exhaust valves those that are the same thickness as the inlet valves and others with thicker stems. I have the thicker ones, and the same head set up that you have

Having just removed the cylinder head, I thought I would ask the question why is just one of the valves a light brown colour whils all the others have a light carbon coating?
Hi
Had a discussion today about the length of the straps for the roof and we both wondered ]

What is the bracket is for on the rear frame, any ideas?

Just recently aquired an MWD, that needs some minor work and a general tidy up. But the canvas is well worn so I will be looking to have a full set made with a copola ring. Perhaps if there are a few of us after a set it may make it more worthwhile to produce.

Noticed that the OGEL (Vintage Military Vehicles) has been revoked and replaced by OGEL (Historic Military Vehicles and Artillery Pieces) it would appear that lobbying has paid off?
I have been pondering the question as to what is the smallest sized commercial trailer needed to tow a jeep to shows and could this be towed by a Freelander or would you need something bigger
Here is a link that may be of use? then look at the OGEL Vintage Military Vehicle

The link takes you to the legislation

Just to add to the debate, my interpretation is that if you have a 12v Ex MOD Landrover you dont need one. But for a 24v FFR you do?
