  1. Nick it was a pleasure to meet you & thanks for putting on an arena display, the East Bloc section looked really interesting. For the Crush on Saturday I think the crowd liked it when the commentator asked for a gutsy tracked vehicle & I threatened the Clio with the Rugged One! That Rover painted as General Lee certainly deserved to be crushed. cheers Paul
  2. Thank you Clive, & enjoyed chatting with you, its good to have the support of many friends. As for the Rugged One its great to see so many people smiling & laughing, there aren't many vehicles that can do that.
  3. Hi Paul, Thanks for posting, as usual Andrew & Team do put on a very professional display. Sorry I didn't get to meet you, but we must have been standing close to each other as I also watched from a similar spot. cheers Paul
  4. Hi Bernard, yes the Albion looked great covered in mud after recent film shoot, & this was one of the few moments when I managed to get a few minutes rest riding up front with Mark, but I was soon called away to assist with busy Public Entrance, and thanks for use of the Rugged one, cheers Paul
  5. Well thank you all so much for helping make this happen, it really was our best ever & of course the weather helped encourage all the toys to attend. And I'm very pleased to have received so many emails about the show. Sadly, it was also a week of mixed emotions as Bob's wife Shirley James (landowners) passed away on Tuesday after a short battle with cancer, so that was really sad news, as she was instrumental in developing the camp with Bob, & her Home Front displays to include a 40's kitchen, dining & bedroom which are just great, so may she rest in peace. Then the next call on the Tuesday was confirmation that the Buffalo could attend so that was pleasing to hear & transport was swiftly sorted. But later that day I visited my parents only to be told that my Father's cancer diagnosed only the week before is also terminal, so as you can imagine I've had a few moment this week & at other times the show was a pleasant distraction for both Bob & myself. So I'll post some more when I can. cheers Paul
  6. Might as well post this one for starters. And if u r coming remember to bring sun cream, cheers Paul
  7. No, worries, I took the liberty of adding to list, so just turn up. I'll be on site from about 07.30 to greet the Buffalo.
  8. Some great news folks! First of all the weather forecast is looking good for the rest of the week & weekend, so we have one more aircraft, a hot air balloon so we can have an aerial photograph of us all on the Saturday evening, but just hope the wind stays low. And now for the really good news... drum roll please... Its taken 18 months to get this vehicle out of the US and its now going to be making its debut at our show. It finally arrived at Southampton docks a couple of weeks ago but then found it had a brake problem, but got the call 5 mins ago to say its all good to go. So its really made my day to say that we will be having an LVT Water Buffalo & I can't wait to see it. cheers Paul
  9. Up to 370 mv's & counting. Nice mix of tracked vehicles, 16 so far & that of course includes The Rugged Robin. Still a little left in the kitty to contribute to low loaders. Layout similar to last year as per attached pic.
  10. What a shame, but relieved no one was hurt & didn't turn into a bigger incident, Best o luck with repairs.
  11. Hi Nick, I did see Bob at the camp today & he will sort a car or two for you to re-shape with the OT-90, cheers Paul
  12. Hello Gareth, whoops, I do apologise, my mistake, operator error, cheers Paul
  13. Hi Gareth, Great, though I don't appear to have an entry, but not a problem, is that for the 101? As I have details for last year & can include in list, cheers P

  15. Hi Chaps, Better late than never, so apols for the delay. Show seems to be running like clockwork so far (but still takes up much of my time & life!) with most people registering online & there's still plenty of time, so if you would like to come then please register on http://ashdowncamp.webs.com/onlinevehiclereg.htm Currently have 323 mv's booked, so thank you to those from here. I think we are slightly down on this time last year possibly due to the "Normandy effect", but more trickling in every day so we won't too far off our target of 400. Includes 14 tracked vehicles so thats certainly up on previous & might have a few more. And still have some budget left for contribution towards costs of low loaders etc. WW1 Vehicles - As expected these are hard to find but we have at least 3 vehicles to include that 1916 Albion again. Aircraft - BBMF Spitfire & Hurricane confirmed for both days Gloster Meteor on the Saturday & Auster spotter on the Sunday. A few new things to look at around the camp & about 500 re-enactors with their displays around the field. The Garrision will also be returning & hoping they will be doing their night time display with the 150cm Searchlight (tbc). Location: Ashdown Camp, Ashdown Farm, Badsey, Nr Evesham WR11 7PA And of course a big thank you to our main sponsor Cherished Vehicle Inusrance who will also be at the show if you want to have a chat with them. cheers Paul
  16. I was wondering if it was used with a Rapier system. The Garrison use rods with their 150cm, perhaps they can help. cheers P
  17. A fiend in North Cyprus is asking what this is for, any ideas? Thanks Paul
  18. I used to enjoy driving this Jeep & often used it to just give it a run & pick up the children from school in Leamington. In fact this Jeep & owner was how I got interested in MV's. Perhaps you could bring it to my show in Evesham in June, I would be very pleased to see it. Happy motoring. Paul

    Big ray

That's so sad, I had the pleasure of meeting Ray a few times, such a kind hearted chap & will be sorely missed by many.
  20. There is this 1943 Bedford OY Mobile X-Ray unit that attends a few shows.
  21. Every year I keep meaning to take a few more pics to capture the scale & atmosphere of the show but I always seem to get distracted & just run out of time. Thankfully one of our members Brian climbed the watchtower late afternoon on the Sunday, so here's a panoramic view:
