1940 dated pick axe.

Has any one got a 1940 dated pick axe?

 

I want to know the lenght from tip to tip of the pick head. I'm just making the pick axe holder for the mw and have feeling they may have become shorter when the material restrictions came in.

I have the ww2 pcik axe at home. I will make pictures and measures tomorrow.

thanks, it needs to be 1940 dated or earlier, i have a 1942 dated one but it won't fit in the pick holder, the picture i have of the pick in place show's a bigger pick.
