Karoshi Posted February 23, 2006 Author Share Posted February 23, 2006 It was another 4 years till John Wayne as J M Stryker made the movie, at Camp Pendleton and Santa Catalina island, Califorinia. Interesting though that the flag raising in the film featured several of the real marines to have been involved in the real (2nd) flag raising, four years earlier.
