Westy Posted February 26, 2023 Share Posted February 26, 2023 Hi, I am rebuilding an Ariel WNG and am looking for help regarding the thread on the front brake plate in the boss that takes the speedo drive as the threads on my brake have become slightly irregular. Does anyone know what thread it is and can I get a tap to clear the threads so I do not damage the threads on the speedo drive which is aluminium. welbike Posted February 27, 2023 Share Posted February 27, 2023 (edited) Hi there Steve, Here a schematic from the Smiths factory, hope that helps, have added the sizes in fractions, but don't think you'll find any taps and dies for that. Could you please give me the number of teeth on both gears? and the outside diameter of both, doesn't have to be exact, it's just that I'm mapping out all different gears for all WD bikes.
