g0ozs
Martin You might want to have a read of http://www.dft.gov.uk/vca/vehicle-importing/importing-hgv.asp http://www.dft.gov.uk/vca/vehicletype/type-approval-for-go.asp https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-approval/individual-vehicle-approval I am fairly sure there are already road registered TRM2000s in the UK (I remember they were being sold as gun buses after the supply of Simca SUMBs dried up) so it can be done. See: http://www.gunbus.co.uk/folder-17-trm-2000-gun-bus Good luck ! Regards Iain

Nick Johns
Hi again forgot to say its a 1985still hoping martin Heavy goods vehicles more than 3.5 tons gvw and more than 25 years old, ie. pre 1988 are exempt from type approval/ COC regs https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-approval/exemptions-from-vehicle-approval Edited August 17, 2013 by Nick Johns

david56
Have you tried Renault Commercial Vehicles? They must have a record just a thought
g0ozs
I know our local electricity board (what was Eastern Electricity) replaced their Dodge 50s (RB44-ish) with Renault 4x4s that look awfully like a TRM and are still around - I think the issue for vehicles younger than the 25 years Nick has usefully pointed out will be whether the CoC for these will also cover a LHD military TRM2000 Regards Iain
martin dawes
Hi lian the electricity board prob test them as plant which is a route i will take if everything else fails. I have spoken to renualt uk who have spoken to renault france military division and believe it or not the can't find it on there data base . if i do register it as plant i can use red diesel and don't need a yearly test
N.O.S.
.....but you can then only legitimately use it as mobile plant.
martin dawes
But once its registered as plant they will issue a log book, the trick is to wait a couple of months then apply for a private hgv goods test on the registration plate that they have issued (seems this gets round the COC)
Paul Dodd
Could you put it through an IVA? This would effectively give it a document that serves the same purpose as a CofC
