HubbyHumber Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 The Rushden Transport Society has its annual 1940's weekend on 23 & 24 Oct at the original Midland railway station at Rushden in Northamptonshire. A good weekend; small, but a lot packed in. Event runs on each day; no camping. Details on: www.rhts.co.uk Use the 'Events' link at the top of the page If anyone wants to bring a vehicle, please email: rhts1940's@hotmail.co.uk Steam train running over a short line, and a demo goods transport train, usually with a vehicle or two on. Can be in period dress or not. If you like real ale the bar in the station building is worth it alone! I'll be there on the footplate of the steam engine. Quote
