future event 40's Wartime w/e at Rushden Railway Station 23 & 24 Oct

The Rushden Transport Society has its annual 1940's weekend on 23 & 24 Oct at the original Midland railway station at Rushden in Northamptonshire.

 

A good weekend; small, but a lot packed in. Event runs on each day; no camping.

Steam train running over a short line, and a demo goods transport train, usually with a vehicle or two on.

Can be in period dress or not.

If you like real ale the bar in the station building is worth it alone!

 

I'll be there on the footplate of the steam engine.
