Jeff Glasser
These photo's were taken just after a Mosquito crashed after clipping (with the undercarriage) a monument in a cemetary situated on the approach. A learned friend feels that it was most likely Mosquito PR34, PF672, of 81 Sqn, which came to grief landing at Labuan on 9 Aug 51. That aircraft struck a 20 ft high obstruction some 75 yards from the end of the runway and suffered undercarriage failure on touchdown. There were no casualties thankfully. The other photo' is of an Avro Lincoln that looks like it has suffered a belly landing. Sadly, I dont know where this was taken.
