1941 Slat Grille Jeep - Wilys - Does anyone have available a black steering wheel or a set of solid rimmed wheels? Good price paid.

I have a black steeringwheel, but Iam not sure

if its for a slat gril. Probaply m201 or m38a1.

You'll need a black 'Sheller' streeing wheel. They are different to the M201 wheels so be carful what you buy.

I may be able to help with the 5 solid rims, [ 3 years old] but need to replace them with combat rims first.

Karoshi check these pictures of the early disk rims. Are yours the same or are they M201 wheels?

 

 

I've heard of people buying Hotckiss rims thinking they are Slat Grill disk rims :cry: .

Look at the difference between the M201 wheels and the early disk rim.

At this moment I don't know. They're round and true, thats all I can be sure about. Will look again when I get to the store.

my jeep came with a sheller steering wheel. does this date it to world war two?

If the wheel is a Sheller it'll date up to around late 43.
