  1. Was a first time visitor on the Sunday. Enjoyed the event and the camp was very good. One thing though - were there more vehicles on the Saturday as there seemed to be less than the anticipated 300 on the Sunday with some of the listed tracked vehicles also being absent?

In the end we had appx 340 mv's register with just over 300 turning up which is our highest attendance rate. With vehicles coming & going & some only for one of the days we probably had about 250 on site at any one time.

Yes we did only have 5 tracked vehicles, as there were problems / delays with the others due to attend.

  2. Well what a fantastic weekend and thank you so much to all of those who attended & supported the show. Definitely the highest number of vehicles and public that we have ever had. Once I've done a final count I'll let you know.

If it hadn't rained on the Friday evening I'm sure we would of had even more. Whilst I was busy I actually felt quite relaxed as the whole event ran so smoothly.

Great to meet Rosie & RCubed, literally recognised her by her Rosie coloured crocs!

As usual good to see Chris, Clive and his funny little bearded friend.

Chevpol - thanks for putting on your display but if you come back next year I think I can find you another spot closer to the camp.

Nick's cinema was very popular & so many people went in & think some were just pleased to have a seat in the shade, so thanks again.

Yes that Leyland Retriever (1933) looked immaculate and I also like Dave B's Austin K2.

There was so much I liked about the show especially seeing the camp at its best with the Spitfire, the re-enactment displays & the atmosphere in the beer tent on Saturday night.

For some of the arena slots some vehicle owners were a little late at getting in on time, but it improved over the weekend and as usual Andrew Baker's Alvis display with pyro demonstrated some brilliant driving.

Briefed the cadets Saturday morning & asked them if they had seen James May's TV programme with the Airfix model & told them it was their lucky day. 5 mins later, ours rolled up & they got to work & very grateful we were for their help.

I didn't get chance to take many pictures so if you have any good ones then please let me know. Come on Snapper Smithy.

    cheers Paul

  3. Guys, I think this is going to be a great weekend as we now have over 320 mv's booked in & over 20 re-enactment groups.

Been on site today and the field & camp are just looking great, and really pleased with my new set of wheels to get me around the showground with ease. Picked up this little bargain at Stratford-upon-Avon tip!!! Yes its a little golf buggy.

    See you soon,

    cheers Paul

  4. More good news today - took a call from our local contact at the Linc's Lancs Association who said that in addition to the Dakota coming on Saturday there is a very strong possibility that we will have the Lancaster, Spitfire & Hurricane on the Sunday, as they are also scheduled to flypast Wellesbourne & Cheltenham & drawing a straight line that means coming over us, so I'm very very pleased.

  5. Hello Andy,

Yes you are registered & I'll start sending passes this coming week.

Whilst it is free for MVT members to visit during the day we do need to charge a fee for camping if not bringing a vehicle. Public camping is normally £25 for the weekend but can do for £15 as an HMVF or MVT member. pm sent.

Now up to 280 military vehicles.

And meant to mention earlier that Nick Johns will be running his cinema in one of the nissen huts.

  6. Hi, just a quick update to say that over 250 have now registered with more still booking in so still on track for 300+, hurray.

Very pleased to see quite a few members from here booking in & pleased that hummermark is due to bring his Leopard Mk 1 with Faun Transporter, Dave with his Foden Drops & a few other interesting vehicles like a White Half-track, an M20 and the list goes on...

The Dakota has been confirmed for the Saturday & might even have something for the Sunday.

And of course we have even more re-enactors supporting this event.

Plenty of militaria stalls for you guys to have a rummage, 38 at the moment with more booking in.

FREE entertainment on the Friday & Saturday night with Kitten-Von-Mew, Fiona Harrison & DJ Woody.

So do please download form if you can make it or do ask if any queries.

I'll start to send passes out next week, so please bear with me.

    cheers

    Paul
