The Bedford with 'Church of Apollo' is one of Bob's & was used by the BBC for filming in the detective series Father Brown, so was marked up by them.

Whilst pics are being sorted, thought I would post a pic of one of the other highlights which has to be the display of the searchlight & gun being fired at night, it really was an incredible site and hasn't been done at a show for a few years.

Four cartridges, each having 750 grams of black powder, certainly made me jump, set off a few car alarms, sent shock waves through a few tents & cracked a window in one of the nissen huts!

Hi Guys,

Thank you so much for the support & making this our best weekend yet. It was just so much fun & ran so smoothly, thankfully without incident.

And thanks so much to Dave M for letting me use his quad on the Thu & Fri and a big thank you to Bernard for travelling up to bring the Rugged Robin. Very kind of him to let me use it as my 'Staff Car'. Not only is it a great little runaround but it turns more heads than a Sherman! Rugged Robin put smiles on so many faces & left quite a few scratching their heads wondering if it really was an Ex-Falklands Special Ops vehicle.

If you asked me which vehicle was photographed the most it would be a tight race between the Robin & the Albion.

The other main highlights have to be:

The 1916 Albion, which Great War Truck spent much of the weekend drooling over.

The camp looking its best & jam packed with people especially on the Sunday.

The Garrison firing all the guns

And their night time display with the searchlight and firing of the 3.7inch, I think four rounds was just spectacular, wait till you see the pictures, they are awesome.

Andrews CVRT driving/pyro display just gets better.

The battle continues to improve.

Oh and finally, seeing FV1609 in his onezee was hilarious!

Yes we have a few tracked vehicles, but not lots

One of the stars arrived today, Rugged Robin

Andrew Baker bringing three of his CVRT's & doing a synchronised driving/pyro display,

An Abbot,

A couple of M3 half-tracks

A 432, a 434

And a Ford Universal Carrier.

And also have more wheeled armour this year.

Total MV count currently just under 400 & thankfully the weather forecast is improving. And even if it does rain it won't get as sticky as last year when it just rained for weeks in the run up to the show.

And to keep you warm at night you can help yourself to some firewood, but bring a saw as we might not be able to cut it all up.

Total mv's now up to 383 which is fantastic considering we are not the National Show! & a few more registering each day.

And here's the latest layout, to give you an idea of where to park up.

Whilst I didn't get to go, I feel I must let you know the feedback I've had.

I've had a number of traders book in to my show & when chatting with them & discussing other events as you do, the name that has been mentioned, more than any other show has been Overlord, with some very favourable comments, as to how good it was, so if you are able to keep your traders happy then you know you've got a good show, well done.

It flew to Manston after the display over Rye and will stay until the airshow there next weekend.

Drat, was hoping it might do a flypast today at Wellesbourne as they are doing two taxi runs with theirs today.

Hi & welcome, as RampantRivet mentioned there are about 40 Champs booked into Evesham, so do either book in or visit if you can.

The Champ Owners Club has to be one of the most friendliests Clubs I've come across.

What does DAP stand for please?

Bit of searching &.. Amphibious vehicle have to comply with the Boat Safety Certificate scheme which is needed for use on inland waters.

That might be for river & canals, but wonder if the same applies to a lake on an estate.

Another little treat for those attending, "The Garrison" are going to do a night time firing & searchlight display with their 3.7" Heavy AckAck Gun.

We could not get PLI for our show re Taking Vehicle into water.. Insurance company said NO..

Well I'm sure the MVT Safety Officer Steve Edwards would have it all sorted, he's very thorough.

Or perhaps they got vehicle owners to sign a disclaimer.

I would be interested to know where one stands on insurance when taking a vehicle into the water, anyone know? Do you have to have marine insurance & certification for that craft?

Our friends just a few miles away at Ashchurch have booked two more vehicles, a Husky & a Jackal and another team are bringing a UAV.

Hi, unfortunately it's just portaloos on site, or buy lots of extra baby wipes, or pop into town which is just a mile away if u need extra supplies of baby food etc.

Just to say that all vehicle entry numbers have either been emailed or posted today. That was another Sunday gone.

But don't let that put you off from coming as there is still room/time to book in.

Not sure if you are having a little dig at me, as we had originally booked Peter but for one reason or another we changed acts. But glad to hear he performed well.

Shame I never knew you was coming Paul, would have been great to meet up. Did you stay for the evening entertainment, the big band and Paul Wayre was great, best evening I have had all year.

Hi Ian, was a last minute decision as busy doing admin for our show + thought do I do the hedges & mow the lawns, then thought sod it I'm going out.

If you would like to view Mark's Albion very soon, then I'm thrilled to announce that it will be coming to our show Wartime in the Vale, Evesham on the 22 & 23 of June & we intend to pair it up with 'The Garrisons' First World War 18pdr gun, so I think that will be another great photo opportunity.

Had another great entry today, Mark's 1916 Albion A10, so that is just going to look great if we get that parked up in the camp & paired up with 'The Garrisons' first world war 18 pounder, can't wait to see it.
