  1. The Bins fitted in the Reme tech wagons, were they the standard Thompson Chests? Like these All%20You%20see%201.jpg

We have a bunch of these out of our Brockhouse stores trailer.

I need to sort the security as its got no external locks. I will probably change the drivers door lock to a later antiburst type. I will have a look at the frost terminal as i dont want to start drilling holes all over and should be a hidden security option.

Al. It came through work and it teased me for about 20 mins before i dared make an offer!

  2. My new toy. Brought it home last night in a down pour which was fun. :-D Good job i fitted new wiper blades before i set out.

Does any one have any info of 101's in use by the REME? I have pictures of the crane one in the Museum and one with an under lift fitted. I have read about Raiper repair units in this months Windscreen (well timed!) any one got pictures on these or ones in other uses by the Reme?

It needs a new hood see the wanted bit if you know of any and does any one have any pdf copies of the manuals that were on line? The site still exists but none of the links work. :???

    Cheers

    Jon.

  3. One of my War and Peace purchases was a spare wheel mount for the front of the wide track sankeys. Finally got around to fitting it last weekend.

Any one got a trailer with one of these fitted or pictures of one fitted without the wheel? I know alot of trailers have come out of Withams recently with these fitted.

What i want to know is if there was some sort bump stop fitted lower down on the face of the tub against the tire? I only got the main bracket and there seems alot of flex with the weight of the wheel mounted.

    Cheers.

    Jon.

  4. Not a Military question but a stupid one which someone clever may be able to answer. :-D

On our trip back from Scotland we wondered, when they display distance signs at the side of the road where are they measured too? Signs give a place such as Birmingham then a mileage to it but where in Birmingham is measured to? We wondered if it was the center or the border of the county or some thing else? Any ideas?

  5. Yep we stopped at Warrington services, so it stands a good chance it was us on the Saturday.

  6. Mike.

The body shouldnt drop any as its supported along the front by brackets further forward on the outriggers and as its a hard top its braced by the screen through the roof. I would just measure it either side before starting to cut if you are worried about it moving.
