  1. if I remember, 10-15 years ago, there were more petrol cars on the road, so diesel was cheaper, now I think that as there are more people using diesel cars, the price is dearer, supply and demand, after all, petrol is more expensive to produce than diesel (so they say) so diesel should be cheaper than petrol

  5. I used to enter this one regularly in the Eighties, until it clashed with another event. Still visit it when I can, a good turn out of commercials always there.

used to go there in the early to mid 80's whilst on hols with my parents, we had a couple of friends who had preserved buses (London Transport Guy single deckers), used to go in sat evening, come back sunday for the full day. Wanted to enter my 1965 Austin A40 one year, car section organiser said no. (mind you, he did say in his reply letter that he didnt want any more MGB's!!!) There were some great exhibits though, a lot of vehicles we didnt see up here, really good show.

Monday we would go to Great Warbirds at West Malling, happy times

  6. Dont segregate exhibits, when I was at Apedale with my Landy, I said hello to a couple of jeep owners, I got the impression that if I had a jeep, or similar WW11 vehicle, they would have welcomed me with open arms!!! But, if we are segregated, how can you make new friends?

As an aside, I have just ordered a new 9x9 from our glorious leader(!)

    All the best
