BLUE Sounds good ,,, but em when out with the saladin may look a little strange and also how do i stand with the police?? with police on it and in blue??
you cant run a vehicle on the public roads with police on it, while most officers would just see a old vehicle, it would only take one jobsworth to haul you up for impersonating a police officer!!! I used to own a ex South Wales police granada traffic car, once, when it was outside the local garage, a couple of police saw it, and were admiring it, then another one turned up, was heard to say that I shouldnt have the light bar on it, (covered up) shouldnt have the vascar unit (head only, no innards), and he then phoned somebody, next thing we knew, he was disappearing down the road and the other 2 just looked at each other and grinned. you see, the car was white with a red stripe, thats all, no police markings anywhere, we think he was told in no uncetain terms to leave alone as not done anything wrong!! Mind you, good job he couldnt get in boot, because there was a box of different police door badges, a speed gun (non working!!) and a couple of uniforms!!!:cool2:
Anyway, it would look nice as a police vehicle, maybe you can get the police sign (I assume it would also be in chinese lettering?) as a magnetic sign?
Good luck

Wish I knew what my grandad did, he wouldnt talk about WW1, when he did talk, he said he was a cook, maybe true, dont know, keep meaning to find out if his army records exist, got a couple of photos of him in uniform, fomal studio pose, in a line up at a camp somewhere. My dad has a piece of trench art my grandad always maintained was made by a german pow and given to him. I know he was underage when he joined though.
Will have to check, but I am sure that my dad said that grandad was a firewatcher during WW11, and I think he used the roof of the local pub for it!
He died just before my 18th birthday, later found out that he wanted to take me into his local on my 18th for my first pint, I am now 42, and I still miss him.
All the best,

Hi folks,
saw last night 27/8/08 on the back of a trailer joining the M6 off the M55 at about 2100hrs a Active Fisher Snotrac, looked in reasonable condition (was dark!!).
Anybody know anything about this?

no pics, but when I had the 5.7 ltr caprice, pulled onto a petrol station to fill up, got some strange looks from the guy in the kiosk, might have been something to do with me in full USAF uniform!!!
Another time, when we got the 2 jelly bean shaped caprices, we went to dads local morrisons to fill up, and we were watched all the way onto and off the station by the cctv cameras, you could see them moving to follow us!!!

I decided to go on the spur of the moment. if it had been raining in Stoke when I got up sunday, I wouldnt have gone!!!
Incidently, I photographed every vehicle there, roughly 39, like you say, shame there wasnt more, but after last year, when they said it wasnt on this year, I think people made other arraingements, a pity, like you say Degsy, they usually get a lot more vehicles, not neccesarily a lot more public though.
Lets hope it is on next year, and better weather!!
