  1. Thank you for these interesting details. It would be great to hear what you know of it's history and see a few 'photos posted here if possible. Thanks.
  2. I had been wondering if the original post was referring to van Dam's yard. These Militants have been standing in the open for over 10 years and are likely to be in very poor condition indeed. I can remember being told of van Dam having row after row of low mileage MK 1's available in good condition but that was many years ago. If anyone wants a MK 1 they might wish to consider Richard's gun tractor which I believe is being offered for sale on this forum.
  3. It would be great to see some 'photos of these bikes posted here sometime. In the meanwhile, check out this YouTube vid. Just out of interest, were more HD's employed by the military than Indians ? As has been mentioned in previous posts, there always seem to be more HD's around.
  4. Having never visited Beverley seeing your wonderful photographs was quite a thrill. Thank you for posting them here.
  5. "Tugs of War" certainly falls far short of the standard set by this book. http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/nynehead_dt_book.html
  6. Unnecessary cropping of photographs, the use of metric, and not imperial, measurements and Mr.Wares observation that "no Scammell Constructors have survived in preservation", oh really ? "Tugs of War" could have been so much better .
