  1. In 1974 was issued white ones and black ones, then we had to blacken and bull the white ones. Others were issued brown ones. No reason except what was in the store at time and sizes. Still have them on my kit issue list (formerly AF 1157) and when i finally demob will hand them in with the trousers, lightweight, shirts, wooly pully, gloves knitted, vests and drawers cellular, green long johns, Parasmock etc

  2. the ring looks the same as the ones used on some british grenades and might be mine related as a safety transit plate removed after placement etc by the arming and camouflaging party in minelaying drills (drill c etc)

  3. The last time I seen a tin like that was a puncture repair kit (for inflatables) which was a mini version of a biscuit tin and was an MOD supplied item -still issued as part of repair kit for the avon recce boat or would it be a version of the No 2 burner casing (I know they used biscuit tins and sand but similar in size to it etc

  4. Hi

We are extending our driver base for the CMP C60L wrecker that we own - although most of us are HGV1 and no problem with licences we were wondering if this vehicle could be driven on an ordinary licence. Although it is in wrecker mode it is not a working vehicle nor commercial etc and insured/taxed as a private historic vehicle etc. I think it is about 3 ton and the long wheelbase version similar to the one pictured

    Thanks
