  1. What is the legality of having a Tacho fitted and not using it? I have limited experience of tachos but one case I remember was taking the boss to the shops and back about 3 miles in a van equipped with a tacho. Next day the vans assigned drive went mental because the boss hadn't changed out the the tacho graph and the journey was recorded as his.

  2. I bought a set of 12 tractor joints so at the moment I have probably around 15 new knuckles and 5 worn usable ones.

I believe he has more I got them off Ash collection on here. Very reasonably priced.

I have quite an inventory. Gearbox, steering rack, shock absorbers ,Bumpstops, Brake parts,Various seals and bearings Just missing the mojo.

What spares are you looking at? I have been offered new and used wheelstations but storing them is problem for me.

I really need to find reasonable under cover storage.

  3. Do you think it will be viewable on the 4th feb? I was planning a visit then as it will be my birthday, but if it wont be visible, I will have to wait!

Also the Russians did dive it and blew up the mid section.

Unlike the Titanic, it did not take years to establish where the wreck of the Gustloff lay. An accurate position recorded during the sinking (55.07N, 17.41E) and relatively shallow waters (45m/150ft) near the Stolpe Bank make it easy to locate. Sometime after the war has ended, it is alleged that the Soviets visit the wreck and scour for objects of interest. Rumours of a cherished Soviet treasure - the Amber Room - in the cargo hold may have provoked a visit. They blow up the mid-ship section to cover their tracks – leaving only the bow and stern reasonably recognizable. Other items have been pilfered from the wreck including the anchors and props. Today, the wreck is officially designated as a grave site and is off limits to divers by order of Polish authorities. However, some dives have been made recently, particularly by Mike Boring and his team in May 2003.
