My BT email webpage has the padlock symbol showing as locked.

I made my own loom for the WOT6 and as it had to have indicators and brake lights, it was not exactly as its 1940's wiring diagram. Yours will be custom made as well with the weasel engine.

Chris,
I see that you are using your phone, and just realised private message or mail icon does not show on my phone but the black text I was referring to shows up on the laptop at top right, where your personal icon should show.
Obviously some issue when looking on a phone. I am only a moderator and not able to check out any of this, it will be down to Jack and Joris.

Can anyone access their PM as I can’t find anyway to read or write them.
Look at top right of page, the message link is still there but text is in black and not very visible. PM’s still working as normal

I still have no icons at the top.
John,
I can see the icons at the top but they are in black, they still work if you hover over them. I think our webmaster should be able to change the icons and text to white or yellow.

Thanks Jack 👍

This news item came up a few days ago, don't know anymore than that.

I have emailed Jack about this, so hopefully he can resolve the problem.

Iain,
The email address of this 'new member' is at invisionpower.com and it would indicate it to be related to the website server as this is shown as Invision on the bottom of the page.
We need Jack or Joris on to the case, where are they ????

Not just you, somebody has been messing around, HMVF header has gone, all photos have gone leaving a link, which if you click on, does not open. Maybe the site has been hacked?

Yep, that's the one Iain. We certainly customised ours with strip lighting in the workshop area. I will certainly contact Roger and make a booking to visit Lyneham. It'll be like seeing an old mate from 40+years ago if my old 'Mashy Wagon survived the move and if I can be allowed to sit in the cab I'll instinctively know that this is the one. She went halfway round W Germany in '76 without incident. Passed my HGV2 test in her around 1974. So manouverable with the very tight turning circle and short wheelbase that the reverse parking test was a doddle. In fact the examiner tightened it up to less than the dimensions allowed for a class 3 and I still managed to do it.

Roy
Hi Roy,
Good job you did not take your test in the 10 ton Albion RE machinery wagon, they were incredibly heavy to steer, not helped by the big lathe across the front end of the body.

One of these ?
Found the pic on the interweb...
Roy, If you have any pictures or reminisces please share, you never know where it may lead ..
Iain
Hi Iain,
Right truck but wrong body, looks like a workshop body from a Bedford RL. The Albion had the same design workshop body as used on the Fordson WOT6 and Bedford QL, canvas tilt with fold down sides to act as work benches. I remember one of these still in service in late 70's.

Hi Roy, no problem

Hi Roy,
The REME Museum and SEME vehicle collection are now based at Lyneham, if you contact them ask for Roger Jones as he looked after the vehicles at Bordon and is still with the museum at its new home.

Thanks always tried to stay away from additives like that it’s weird refaced block head straight and a brand new gasket surly it should not leak?🤔
K-Seal is the best, it never blocks radiators, but seals weeps quickly. Well known in the trade.
Just a thought, did you get the gasket the right way up? I have rebuilt many Bedford engines without problems, so it has to be something simple. As I said, re-torque the head to 80lb/ft in the correct tightening sequence.
-
Once warmed up, retighten to same torque (as Mike has stated), then check the valve clearances again. You often find it will go down a bit more. Incidentally, I recommend K-Seal for leaks in the cooling system, it will not block the radiator. Better than the dog turds we used to use (Barseal!), they did cause problems.

Interesting - as mine were both painted Nato green, and I'm certain they were like this when the vehicle was cast in 1991.
Definitely black, I worked on 100's of them in Workshops. The tanks may well have been repaired at some point in service and painted green then.

Hi Richard how you doing. I explained that also to the fellow that recently found and acquired his own Mk6...re the mineral oil.
Hi Dave,
I'm good thanks, still firing on all cylinders! Are you still involved with Steve's museum collection?

I think that Alvis Stalwart owners might be interested too!
Andy
The only thing to be aware of is that Stalwart brakes use Mineral oil in the hydraulics, whereas most commercial vehicles would be using conventional brake fluid. The seals would have to be suitable for mineral oil.
