  1. I will also have to check the 10 or so black mugs I have around here somewhere as in all honesty never given them a second thought before, always assumed that the elusive mug would be green so never checked the dates. My set looks to have been together a long long time and a hell of a job to get in and out of the carrier. Another reason for the re design as Im sure the later carrier was slightly bigger? I have taken a few gambles lately on Ebay(this and the RAC Holster) and both worked in my favour, they dont always do so. All I bought this set was for the bottle and carrier as seeing the mug was black I assumed it would be an 80s one so was very surprised when it arrived, and cheap as well.
  2. Getting a bit fed up with Photobucket messing up the order of my pics so do apologise they arent in the order I took them.
  3. Have a couple of these somewhere. One made in black(not painted) and one in Green with some RA markings on it.
  4. Wouldnt have thought so in all honesty.
  5. Early issue I believe DPM Waterproof Crisp Packet type Jacket. No longer wearable but good for the collection.
  6. Quite chuffed to say the least seeing a a green bottle on its own sold last week for £31+Postage and one on Ebay at the moment £18 with days to go.
  7. Newest Ebay purchase just arrived and very very happy. Early 58Pattern WaterBottle set and by the looks of things everything seems to have been together a long time(untouched). Twist lock bottle carrier dated 196? made by Remploy,Green Bottle Dated 1962 made by Cascelloid Cat No 0035, BLACK Mug Dated 1962 No Maker stamp Cat No 0579. EDIT. Just removed the mug and maker stamped inside the mug as Cascaflex.
  8. To be honest, seeing the prices these go for Ive never been looking for one but came accross this one at a nice price and took a gamble, had no idea if a repro or not but now its arrived it looks legit.
  9. Any ideas please on what type of coat this would fit? Just came amongst some other items and have no idea what it is? Thanks.
  10. Any more info on these, issue, trials,Special Forces etc?
  11. Looks like a pick handle to me. I have for years also been puzzled as how the visor was attached to the para helmet as have only seen a few not too clear pics in a few books.
  12. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141252880077?_trksid=p2055120.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT About a £100 more than these usually go for but being Hogspear, that doesnt surprise me.
  13. Denison arrived and happy to say apart from no tail is a nice Size 3 59 Patt so well happy. At the same time I bid on what was described as an army bag, looked like a German Bread Bag and at the price even if it turned out to be a Post War DDR one,at the price would have been happy-just arrived and its an original WW2 German HJ Bread Bag complete with its nice and clear RbNr stamps:nut::nut::nut:
  14. I never ever do specific searches, was just as I do looking through the military section and it popped up so couldnt resist taking the gamble;)
  15. If it arrives, just picked up what looks like a nice 59 Patt Denison for £20,and that was on Ebay so why people pay this sort of money I have no idea.
  16. You got a link or Ebay number please? Thanks
