  1. loved that 101 and it looked to have the correct pioneer tools too! hope mine looks that well soon!
  2. yea the paint looked good considering it was a week old and wasnt set haha
  3. what i know is that the flat bed was made by the owner to carry his Allis B, it was sprayed last week, he got the bigger tyres for £50 each off ebay to make it look meatier and make it cruise abit better and that it will sit at 45-50mph i think he said something about a box being on the back... but cant remember. It does start well though and sounds sweet! Thanks Nick
  4. haha was good banter! and a great weekend all round i think!
  5. Hey guys, I know my ERF C Series isnt an MV but you seem the most knowledgable people to ask. I want to put my Rubery Owen living van where the fifth wheel would sit and then draw a triaxle low loader trailer (converted from a stepframe artic trailer) behind it to carry my classic tractors. So my question is what should my ERF be classed as for the cheapest annual outlay? it would be tacho-exempt and its currently PHGV. So in a "motorhome" layout what would it be and what MOT would be required? also the trailer, would it need MOTing as it would just be private use? Thanks in Advance Nick
  6. Brooky i will try to bring my 101 next year... though i think you had enough of seeing me in the arena!! (Ford 4000, County 954, ERF C Series White/Red and Purple Land Rover 90 [also caught a ride in my cousins imp]) haha! Nice selection of pics! the maroon Commer (k9??) belongs to Martin Carlisle of Carlisle Bros Skips congleton. Thanks Nick
  7. hey guys... i know this is an old thread but im interested in more info, my trailer is the rubery owen stores trailer with just two windows like the one mentioned above... it has had a bodged attempt at hydraulic over-run brakes fitted to it which scares me as the way theyre piped theyd never work!! so if anybody could supply me with a decent amount of info id be greatful also needs a new drawbar (the tow ring seems to be off a sankey) and probably new wheelbearings before it can go behind the wagon (only using the tractor to tow it to shows at the moment)
  8. thanks mate! im two miles from Astle park but only made it with two tractors and my ERF and my parents cars the 101 oil cooler needs brazing up and the brakes need doing for the MOT just all a case of time and money! hope to catch you at a few shows in 2012
  9. i do love my Gardners, ive got one in my ERF C Series, but i think your probably right lol anything over 20mph with a cab is a bonus on driving classic tractors :-D
  10. if i can find a diesel one that needs work but is drivable then i can start the "trying to pursuade my mother" process i would love an opportunity to get it muddy too when i eventually get one i know theyre steady on the road but whats the top speed (or comfy cruising speed) of one with a gardner 6lw or Cummins L10?
  11. thanks guys nice to see another local person here! we have snow too... it was coming down thick n fast yesterday! Heres a link to my 101:
  12. Hey guys, Im Nick from Macclesfield near Manchester. I have a 101FC GS FUT made by Marshalls and a 5.5ton stores trailer converted to a living van amoungst the growing collection. I would love a Scammell Explorer when i can afford as it would compliment the living van well! Thanks Nick
