Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all.
and to each and every one of you, Happy Christmas from me.

In theory no - as it's not and event for re-enactors but for armour. That said, they tend to have big barrels on the front of them..........
As always, there so much 'information' out there that it is a nightmare to even know what to start with regards to deacts. Last I was told was that the old spec deacts would have to be brought up to the new deacts spec - no moving parts.
As I understand it, not until you sell or transfer them on.
How on earth they will know what's going on beggers belief as they have no idea who owns what in the deact world.
I think the early deacts will go underground and never be advertised for sale......else they will have to be welded shut.
Unless someone knows better

Any pictures? It might give everyone a chance to comment on the best action, not that you need to take it though!:-)

My name is Joe, a retired ex Royal Signals sergeant Radio Tech. I run an ex Royal Marines TUM Wolf 110, fitted for deep wading and it is the fully winterised version. I live in France, in the Basque region and the Wolf is in daily use for dog walking and visiting my five sheep up in the hills near here. I also own a Sankey trailer, an NCRS Radio cabin and a WW11 fire tender, both of which I am currently in the process of renovating. So for now that is it, I will post again once I have found my way arround what looks like a great place to be.
Welcome in and what a nice part of the world you live.

Nothing wrong with your English, you should hear how some of us speak French!

Nothing? Would it help if I said shortly after this shot everyone in the Jeep was killed by a bunch of Russian sleeper agents by a bomb in a garage?
Ah...that would be in 'Heartbeat' then:laugh:

Anything that uses a GPS signal can be very easily jammed, despite what may be claimed.
Andy
They may well have done so in this case as it must have been well planned

At least if it had a tracker the owner would have been alerted at once by text it was moving and he would have seen which way out of the gate it went if he had a smartphone. It could have been followed. I use a Carrotech tracker on mine.

The neck of it, I am astounded,Its all over facebook. Lets hope its too hot to handle and it surfaces soon.

The important thing is we both did something! the episode has had a few side effects, but I know he ended up bleeding as much as I did. Its amazing what damage the ends of a folded up metal framed ex miltary folding bed can do when someone is ramming into a persons face with real determination. He could have walked away when I discovered him, he chose to go for me with what I thought was knife. So all bets were off!
Well done. my man got four and a half years inside for that day.I hope he learned from the experience.

Thanks mate, that is appreciated. Part of it is now public, my problems with the De- Ac's and as the rest seems going no where at the moment it might as well be told. My flat was brocken into one night whilist I was asleep. I woke and managed to fight off the two who broke in but got bit bashed about in the process. Fortunatley my WC54 Katy is left hand drive, so I managed to get to Jersey for the Liberation Day celebrations. If she'd been right hand drive no chance I couldn't have changed gear. Not the best way to start your holidays.
Thoughts are with you on this, I came home to one in my house and kept him there until the Police arrived so I know a bit how you feel. It messed up a year in my life. don't let that happen to you.

the user manual is available online here http://howardengineerium.co.uk/BSA.html

Hi Steve, thanks for the info. Not far away then, could well be in touch with you for some help with the restoration. This one is 95% complete just tat the engine is said to be sized due to it standing. The seller has said he has been putting diesel down the bores so would like to think it will free off. Seeing it tomorrow. Been after one for some time now and this was too good a pass up. Will keep you informed. Have you got a ferret yourself?
All the best Steve.
No, not now, had one for a while but now I have a Dingo. Ferret was great fun though. Keep in touch. Steve

May have purchased a Mk1 Ferret :cheesy: so will need to get it from near Redhill in surrey to Newmarket Suffolk. Any body willing or know of anyone who could be of help. Its a non runner so will need a winch.
Cheers Steve.
Nice one Steve, I am from Ely and can recommend Mark Howes mobile number 07958612414, he has the right vehicle,
I have here the workshop manuals on disc and paper if you need them also.
All the best, Another Steve

Hi Steve,
The one big down point about the MVT based at Sywell is that on the MILITARY VEHICLE road run in the new year as a rule at least half of the people turn up in their civvy vehicles.
We are not too far from Shuttleworth so if you need need some motors give us a shout.
We are looking for WW2 vehicle owners that want to use their vehicles rather than count rivets...if you get my drift.
That would be us at Hunts.MVT, we use the vehicles on road runs etc. more than counting rivets. We also have very little 'bumph' except where needed!

I can think of a nice D4 that it could go behind, it will be very nice when done I have no doubt.:-)

Hi I'm up in Biggleswade with a WC54 currently rebuilding the engine but we also have a 1941 M3 halftrack, 1942 Ford GPW and a 1944 BSA Parabike, I know of another WC54 and a WC52 very close to Luton, mostly I am over at the Shuttleworth collection helping on the aircraft and vehicles there. Also there is a good sized group I know in Sywell Northampton way and another out Huntingdon way which we tag along with sometimes.
Steve
Next Hunts Group road run is the 20th June.:cheesy:
