  3. :-)Have just shown father a web page on Sandstones Estates in South Africa, they have a peerless in running condition in need of a little tlc, wondered if anybody had heard how they are getting on with it, and is there a definitive list of survivors, restored or not?

  8. :embarrassed: The Peerless hasn't to my knowledge been out since dad and steve papin took it out for white gold week in St.austell I think it late 90' not out since 2000 i don;t think, the skoda was scrapped for £40 some bloke wanted the brake servo, not bad really bought for £10,spent about £80 drove it for 8 months didn't do anything else to it then cylinder head went, sold for £40 pretty good really!
  9. :-D Cheer up my first car was a £10 skoda, knocked down from 15 because the engine needed stripping, like to see someone riding around in a skip with heated front swimming pool and fogged up rear window ,yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Well Dad was there and you know what they say about getting into strange vehicles with men, you can get oily, don't touch anything and behave yourself!!!!!!!!!! and I don't think the occasion was recorded on film probably why I got the vehicle wrong, lack of evidence my lord, free to go.....

  18. :red:Sorry didn't put down the dates I will get the hang of this, the colour pic was taken in 1978 and the black and white in early 1979, she was finished in the early 80's and dad did the London to Brighton in 1982 and both of us did it 1986 Rallying now would be a bit expensive, we used to drive her to the shows and back , trouble is only about 4miles to a gallon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
