  1. Rather than start another forum could the title "Book Reviews" be altered

to include web site recommendations or does anybody have a better suggestion for web site inclusion elsewhere?

  2. Remembering Karoshi's particular inteest in this battle I recommend having a look at...http://home.scarlet.be/~cv920172/index.htm

This is a big site and i I have only seen a small part of it so far but it is very well put together and contains a massive amount of material.

  3. Sorry Neil, I was being my usual sarcy self, I'm afraid I can't raise any interest in novels of any sort and although I'm an avid reader and have been reading WW2 material for over 50 years there is still a lot out there

    still to go at.

  4. Sounds just like being home on the farm, use whatever comes to hand, it usually involves baler twine at some stage. Don't use a match when trying

to check the level in a fuel tank, a neighbour did it with a tractor, the subsequent bang removed his eye brows and most of his hair, didn't do a lot to improve his brain either.

that takes my eye. Oh yes, and several other vehicles on the basis that they won't all break down on the same day

  7. Hi Paul

Sorry to hear your news, unfortunately it is something that has probably happened to most of us, the days of a job for life are long gone. Don't

despair, from personal experience I can say that if you really want to work there are jobs out there even for people of my advanced years.

I am not sure if it covers your area but the job centre in Wrexham holds a central register, when I needed a job I would phone nearly every day to make sure I had an early chance at anything going.

I hope you have some luck, "Nil Illegitemi Carborundum"

    Regards

  8. Hi Matt

I don't know if it's any help but the camo HBT coveralls were issued to some troops in the ETO but were soon withdrawn after a no of troops were shot due to mistaken identity as the SS camo suit was very similar.

    Cheers
