  1. just found a picture of a half track working on cromer beach , i don't know anything about the owner or even how old the picture is but i wonder if the firm sign written on the bonnet is still in operation

  8. i knew mac very well ,i did some close protection work with him a few times, a very modest man . RIP mac
  9. as far as i can remember it was like first come first served on the plastic helmets, a lot of the boys ended up dumping them in favor of the good old steel one's because they where tried and tested and you've only got one head :shocked:

  12. dont know if this is the right place to post this if not im sorry and please delete , i am at the moment going through a period of financially difficulty and am thinking of selling my medals ,the question is how much are they worth ,i don't fancy going to a medal dealer as i know they have to also make a living . i anybody could roughly give me a ball park figure i would be very grateful, the medals are south atlantic medal with rosette northern ireland general service medal good conduct /long service medal accummulated campaign service medal nato bosnia medal might even sell my cherry beret many thanks steve

  15. i bought a load of mags from a boot sale a while ago and found a copy of a miltary mag ive never seen before , i worked for a newspaper/mag distrubution company for a while and they had no record of it either. anybody seen this mag before ? p.s sorry about the rubbish quality photo

  21. Fritton Lake in Norfolk Celebrates D Day The lake was used to train personnel to operate the Duplex Drive Amphibious Tanks used in the first wave of assualts on the beaches. It is planned to have a display of WW2 military and light tracked vehicles, re-enactors, stalls and stands, as well as brass band, slide talks, guided walks and boat trips. We are keen at this stage to hear from anyone interested to display (vehicles / stands / amphibious vehicles / living history).
