okay folks the trip to Raf Uxbridge is booked, just awaiting written details which I will post asap, the date is friday 25th of feb 2011 at 2 pm,there is plenty of parking adjacent to the ops room.
As this is still an operational base I will need names and details of all attending so if these can be forwarde to me fairly soon I can pass them on to curator at the ops room
thanks ,Nigel

I had a phone call from RAF Uxbridge today saying that a tour for between 10 and 48 people is possible ,unfirtunately it has to be on a week day and would not be possible until feb or march next year so if anyone is interested I was thinking of trying for half term in feb to allow anyone thats wants to to bring thier kids .Contact me on here either by pm or just on the forum and I will start a list

might be difficult explaining the "captured Hetzer"
-
so the list will start with the 3 shermans from this years a and e plus the 6 from Mons this years 9 halftracks plus all those from Europe and a couple of m26 pacifics then, that lot should be interesting in the lanes around maiden Newtonand the residents of Martinstown are going to panic let alone the horses.
ps might need a few more bikes cos getting past that lot in the lanes is gonna be impossible

bring it on!

I think you will find some combos are registered as bikes whilst others are registered as trikes ,depends on when the sidecar was fitted ie from new a trike or retro fitted a bike
-
go for it ,show the yanks they are not the only ones with tanks
-
welcome aboard Ben always good to get another bike along ,you will be needed for convoy duty at A and E 2012

Just out of interest, does anyone take tracked armour Poppy collecting?
I was thinking the other day after buying mine about getting in contact and offering to take the 432 to our local High Street next year if they were interested.
I was out collecting with carrierbarry with one bike one jeep one morris 8 and one bren carrier in the local high street so it can be done ,I know Barry contacted local police and parking control and obviously the legion and there seemed to be no problems,

dont know if there is much left now as they had a big fire earlier this year but it may be worth trying Rush Green Motors in Codicote Hertfordshire they did have a lot of old commercials

Great day indeed, loads of kit right across the board, very busy, had some good buys and didn`t leave til mid afternoon. Bumped into Jack for about 20mins catching up on all the gossip and re-living June. (GRINS GALORE:D:D:D) 2012 Bring it on !!! Ian.
did you find any bike bits Ian? as usual there was very little about and what was there was either very rough or expensive,I did see a nice repro vokes but at £350.00 I walked away, shame I didnt see you ,would have been good to catch up

got to agree it was the busiest I have seen for a while and I did get at least one of the things I was looking for(k98) although there wasnt much else tempting me to part with my hard earned cash and I couldnt find any seat belts for my landy

Hi Nick
ref the pump, have a look at this link, a word of warning though, make sure your sitting down first !
Best Regards
Gary
seeing the price I am glad my 2 bikes havent got pump brackets
-
looks like quite a good m20,obviously missing pannier frames etc but thats not really a problem ,reproes are available and some prefer the more sporty stripped down look, good to see it has its field stand and bash plate, but the rim on the speedo looks like a civvty one and the light switch looks like a 3 position instead of 4,is it a bike youve bought or just thinking about?
