Spotted this little group while trying to find a job sit last week.

This may be a stupid question ,when building engines how many parts are taken from there 6 cylinder range ,The manifolds look very much like the ones on the Meadows powers pioneers?

I youse mains when I can, but if not I have 2 invertors  from 12v to 240v ,one rotary military  the other is transformer based yousing  a good quality transformer and invertor driver board of the web .The cheap invertors you can buy create to much interference, 

6.3 v dc for the heater and 230v dc for the ht hope this helps

I agree AR88 the chrome strips are the giveaway. 

The jack legs look like the ones on the 40mm  bofors gun carriage,  and the Cab and rear corners say coach .weren't the some BBC out side camera vans with raising platforms.?

This may be of youse ,the side mounted spare is fitted to the 6 and 8 seat versions of the munga. The munga where also to be found been yoused by range master's ,so may tie up with the artillery.

have you a pic of the old brushes and dimensions, we have a couple of old school auto electricians close by that I youse, if you hove the sizes will ask when passing one evening.

Have you tried Westfield 4x4 ,he did have the 404 unimog coils and points .

Is the stuck in 3/4 POSITION.If so try removing the detent witch is in the large bolt in the top of the box in line with the gear stick then try again, the plunger may have stuck with standing ,hope this helps Graham

Remove the fuel tap there's a suction valve under it .You will probably find it's stuck on its seat ,have had this on my 2 sets. HOPE THIS HELPS Graham

A picture of the plug may narrow down the number of sets, it may fit .My first thought is ws88.

If you do a web search for jeep diesel conversions there are a few with information out there.

I believe this may be the trailer you are looking for .not sure of the maker but of German origin.

You could try Westfield 4x4 he's a unimog man, he has the screened unimog 404 plugs a nd cables .give him the plug numbers and cable lengths .have. Found him helpfull in the past.

My munga is listed as a land rover for mot yet auto union on log book .

I had the same problem moving on my trailer ,once the 4 bolts where removed yoused plenty of heat and pen oil ,followed by a long bar clamped to the tube yousing a lump hammer to jar it into moving over a couple of days .
