You may be sufering with a load sensing problem ,this is caused by the electronics in modern speed controlers and radio gear having no resistive load witch the set is looking for ,so you might find puting a lamp as small as 25w across the output will solve your problems.this is also a problem with set fited with auto idle, we youst to fit over ride switches when they were yoused to run inverter welders as it on load to the sensing circit in the set.

Allways had a soft spot for the shackleton ,in the late 60 early 70 my dad youst to take our caravan to Dimlington ,one of the regular sights was flights of shacs heading towards the ranges the other side of the humber, it youst to seem as if you were looking down on them ,the sound of 20 or more griffons is one i still remember, was also lookey to be at RAF Newton when a shac returning from London did a very inpresive display with a vulcan style clime out at the end .:D

  3. Theres on engine or box the chassey was bought by Davids farther some years ago in the dismantled state ,the chassey apeares to be compleat ,hope to be able to lay it out to get a better look at whats there.

I belive it David will be looking to find it a home were it will get restored ,the hole chassy is there bar the steering box this may yet turn up ,the spring hangers certanly look like the A10 ,will try and get a beter pic of the hub cap witch are marked ALBION GLASGOW ,Will certanly require some tlc .
