  1. That's the one - perfect. V. many thanks Ivor. The one I just removed had no bearing to support the impeller shaft!! Jerry
  2. Does any kind soul have a drawing of the late type water pump fitted to MCC C8 & C9 from the workshop manual. I have just removed a tired pump (C8 type) from my C4 and have rebuilt & refitted the original C4 pump. I now want to rebuild the removed pump as a spare. It differs from the earlier type in that the ball bearing races are larger diameter fitted annular fashion around a stub within the water pump casting a smaller shaft fits inside the stub driving the water pump impeller. An assembly drawing of the components would be handy - please. Jerry
  3. Adrian. I bought a pair of repro Fergi tractor headlamps from Ernest Doe in Fram, fortunately my existing Butler lamps were in good shape and only the reflectors were u/s. The new reflectors fitted perfectly and have the added benefit of decent wiring. I've just fitted the repaired exhaust manifold to the MCC C4, thank you, along with a water pump I rebuilt. I can drive round and show you the lights, once I receive and fit some new hoses, which are due here late this week. Tks again for the welding. Jerry
  4. I was lucky enough to go on a taxi run a couple of years back, sporting sharp elbows on the day, I managed to stand behind the pilot, an ex Hastings pilot who was very friendly. An experience I'll not forget, although the engines only run at 1500 r/min the noise/vibration is all enveloping. It makes you wonder what an 8 hour flight at higher engine speeds must have been exhausting even without the extreme cold or the fear of being killed. A warning the taxi run is over in a flash or so it seems. I got a sit in the pilots seat, the controls were so precise and light. The aircraft appeared in very good shape. The engines ran up well although the port outer seemed to slobber oil a bit, the others seemed very clean. Was it worth it - like hell it was!! Would I recommend it - a brilliant day.
  5. Looks like a Morris C8 to my none to reliable eye. Jerry
  6. Dear Radek Go to: http://www.gsparkplug.com/shop/spark-plugs/spark-plugs.html?applications=91&mode=list Regards Jerry
  7. I don't know the Bedford MW, but it could be that the master cylinder has insufficient free travel at the top of the stroke preventing fluid from returning to the reservoir after application. I had a similar problem with a Hotchkiss and solved it by adjusting the brake pedal rod into the master cylinder to allow about one inch of free travel at the top of the stroke. Good luck.
