  1. its because some people are too damn lazy to walk any where!:-D

I agree I am lazy I spend all day walking round in my day job and the idea of walking and getting burnt to death didn't appeal

I stuck to the speed limit so no racing

  2. If you were ever on exercise with the RAC, a few decades ago at least, you'd be surprised what they managed to bring for comfort.

Someone on here whilst he served had a 434 and that nice little bit in the back wasn't used for anything oily. Anyone can slum it but why do so when you have your own home from home in the back

  3. The dust bowl that was kitchners field was not really where the public wanted to go to. Great for touring round in a vehicle but not on foot. Next year when its been rolled and seeded the public might wander round a bit further.

Any more photos?? I only took a few

  4. I'll add a few

  5. I picked up a 12x12 but hadn't appreciated quite how big and unwieldy it was. The side tent looked like a quick and easy option for a weekend show.

If your going on your todd yes then a side tent would be o.k as a normal camp bed would fit long ways (by camp bed I don't mean the British Army type). My gut feeling is that erecting a side tent against erecting a 9 by 9 would be pretty close run thing, plus you can stand up in it.

12 by 12's way to big for a weekend perfect for a week away with friends

  6. Andy I do nasal irrigation, anti-histamines, steroids, eye drops, nasal spray, side covered shades. But sooner or later the eyes get it. Only thing that saved me on Saturday was to wear a S6 respirator for most of the day :D

I hope you had the full NBC suit on to complement it :-D

Daftness aside the way forward with hay fever is to do a little more research on treatments in Europe rather than here in the UK as we seem to be going along with the drug companies method of treating hay fever.

  7. can a friend of Olaf put him on his entry form as support vehicle?

Olaf puts his tent in the military vehicle section, his car stays in the designated area.

all happy as we need more peace on this section of forum.

we were in kitchener field, a 101fc drove in from holland, a 109s3 struggled in from lincolnshire.

great fun, but if we did not split the bill between 5 to 6 people, we cant afford it,

    cheers,

    Arjan

I think he could have it as a support vehicle so the problem wouldn't exist, its been done before at other events. I've done it to be more precise at a show in the North West of England (it was an RB44 as a support vehicle so not civvy).

Kitchners field seems to be the new Medway with its mix of civvy and military vehicles.

Its the first year teething troubles put it down to experience and look forward to next rears event

  8. Dunno rape seed seems to be one of several triggers for me. Didn't seem to be much of it about years ago.

Nasal spray, tablets, eyedrops if needed and as a final one petroleum jelly up ones nostrils seems to make it easier for me.

  9. My mk3 zodiac. And my old boat "defiant " that the purchaser promised to restore if I let him buy it, only to see it sunk for scuba training In Stoney cove.

What do you wish you had never sold ?

My MGB GT didn't want to sell it but I didn't have anywhere to store it

  10. All the rest of the numbers/letters are contract number, vehicle MK number (MK 1/1) base rebuild dates (three filled out on the plate) plus military registration number.

History can be obtained from the Librarian at the Tank Museum at Bovingdon
