That Locust tank in the last pic is rare, even back then.
-
Good to see a British vehicle being restored.

Welcome to the forum.

Wildenberg in the Netherlands have them.
A pity...they were at W@P last month.

What are you cooking up now Jack?
-
Looking good, you'll drive it before you know it.
-
Or take a flexible hose and a funnel.
Thread the hose from the gearboy past a pedal or such into the body, attach funnel, tie it down and pour small amounts of oil in the funnel checking regularly if it overflows the gearbox .
In the meantime you can sipp tea and eat biccies.

I crossed/paddled a few canals in a tub like that.

No idea...but I really think she ignores a few health and safety rules...

Looks like a good location.
-
I'd like to be there.
However money and practicallity dictates I go in my Civvie car so I'll be there with "Hotel Berlingo".

You must have been near to me.
In the 3rde last picture with the Scorpion you can just see my flag.

The toilets near our pitch were clean also.
I spoke to one of the cleaners (Gurkha), nice man.
The Barmy Army party was a way of from me and I slept in the car so no problem there.
The weather was bad.
I don't remember it being so cold in the day, when it rained at the hop farm, maybe because the sea was so close at Westenhanger?

Here is useful information as well, especially for those coming in from the Continent by DFDS ferry:
Thanks for the link.
Got a phonecall earlier warning us for delays.
-
There are shippingcontainer tracking devices with its own 30 day powersupply.
Its probably expensive and not extremely practicle but its small and could get the stolen vehicle located before its found.
Advantage is afaik no external power needed and no phonecalls if the battery is disconnceted or such.

Recently a group of lads in Sweden converted an old Volvo to run on wood gas and went on a road trip:
http://www.vedbil.se/indexe.shtml
"The car took us 5420 km in 20 days, using 7 square metres of wood. "
Nice to see the principle used in the present.

Looks like a fun vehicle.
Has a steampunk feel about it.

Wellcome

The storm on Sunday did at least provide a dramatic end to the weekend...
It was a fantastic show; many thanks to all concerned.
John.

How the chuff did he get it in the BASEMENT? :wow:
Same as a engine in a sub marine?
Put it in and build the rest around it?
Or he has a reeeeaaaaally big basement.

Maybe Wildenberg in the Netherlands can help also.
They are going to W&P this month.

Brake light switch arrived and went to fit it - which is where I found the union was not bolted to the securing bracket but floating loose. As a result a rigid brake line split due to the flexing that resulted. Took a day to get both front lines off in 40 deg C temps - not fun at all!! New lines now made and need to be refitted and the brakes re-bled.
