  1. its a national company called davlav and are based in grays essex

    the number is 01375 398398

we have ours delivered around 7am on monday morning, they service them wed/thu & pick them up the following monday.

always been good to us & if you explain that they are already bringing some down they may reduce the delivery cost.

they usually have the toilet a urinal & a sink.

you need to provide your own padlocks though.

  3. cheers guys,

they have taken up much more time than the kids ever did and i can't see us ever scaling down the collection.

The bedford is so lovable & gorgeous to drive, the bike is just fun & the Jimmy is so practicle.

they all have their own plus points & so much heart & soul has gone into each one they are now part of the family.

i'll pass your comments onto the mechanic of the family when he gets home :-D

  4. hi chris,

we will be at beltring although it is looking doubtful the jimmy will be there.

before we do a long journey we need to replace all the hoses, a couple more brake cylinders, the clutch ,thrust bearings & carb.

we will be taking the bike for definate & maybe the bedford logistics allowing

    3 weeks to go...

  5. how come i missed so many of you guys.

where were you in the field.

i met degsy, hi degsy hope you got back ok.

i got back at 5.30 ish tonight after doing litter & barrier duty. those barriers may not seem heavy but there were blinking miles of them & they had to be stacked in 10's by hand so the forklift could pick them up, my shoulders ache & it will be a couple of days before the bruises on my arms dissapear.

got there wednesday to help set up & took the bedford & bike up after tea, russ & youngest ,mel, went up early thursday & i got there mid afternoon.

fantastic weather once the wind died down thursday tea time, the sun was so hot all weekend it made a nice change from the usual Kemble weather.

the 2 bands performed well but i did prefer the band on friday night & it was good of the beer tent to have the footy on all weekend.

i love dancing & spent a couple of hours a night on the dance floor in my pink shoes, i was accompanied by sean, aminta & baz so at least i wasn't alone.

i didn't get time to walk round the stalls as i chat to much & time went by.

what did you all think about having a badge instead of a brass plaque. i thought it was a better idea as my plaques end up in boxes in the attic.

the tornado taking off on friday & doing a fly past was so ace & loud & having planes come & go all weekend gave people something else to look at. the 20 min flight for 20 quid was a good deal as well.

i'll post some photos later of the bedford stripped down, she looked great.

    i had a great time

i was with young david looking for the fox when we stumbled across you sat around your wheel inviting us to have a go at your competition to see who was the quickest at breaking the bead .

    nice to meet you anyway.

i wonder how many more of us were there ?

  12. i have had people ask me why something so big & old doesn't need an mot when their small car does & i always ask apart from an mot when did they last check their tyres, brake pads/drums, do an oil change etc... the answer is nearly always never.

i normally rest my case at that point.

an mot does make a lot of drivers lazy as they use it to tell them whats wrong & then only put those things right even if they know other things need doing where as the vast majority of mv owners wouldn't dream of taking their vehicle out on the road unless they were completly satisfied it was in A1 condition.

bits may fall off but at least most have the knowledge of how to put them back on again

    cheers

  13. i will be there from wednesday onwards but i'll check if you can get on site any earlier.

i know the caravan fields get packed but if you are lucky enough you can get parkec up so that the caravan is on 1 side of the rope & the 432 is on the other. there is a patch of the section where the 2 meet up.

i'll let you know as soon as i find out

now i know what you look like i can come over & say hi.

  14. the rules are so strict on this one graham.

once your vehicle is on site you can't move it till the sunday evening at the end of the show & you have to camp in an adjacent field so you have to walk in & out every day.

it would be best for you to contact the organiser before you commit yourself to this one.

it is a fantastic airshow but you are very tied in what you can or can't do.
