it is official that it is colder inside than outside. i actually go outside to warm up a bit.
that is why i wear my pink shoes.
they have 3 inches of thick rubber between my feet & the concrete floor that acts as insulation. thermal socks, gloves, hat & scarf along with a thermal vest, t shirt, jumper & coat help as well.
we will be there as usual,
come & say hi if you see my shoes

we got there just after 8ish & had a good morning selling our bits & pieces, made a nice tidy sum to put towards a vickers for russ.
the weather was great & what i like most is the price of a pitch.
i had a great tie catching up & chatting as well.
cheers

howdy AL,
i do have a soft spot for the REO but if you want to stay British then a QLR has loads of room or for a more modern truck the K9.
good luck with what ever you choose & welcome

hi Tim,
it must be a real popular name with vehicle owners as there seem to be loads of you now. I hope you are never all in the same room at the same time as it doesn't take a lot to get me confused.
welcome to the site

welcome dave,
i think we may have met at Swindon & cricklade, i can't be sure though.
me & Russ used to have a replica kdf.
any way There aren't many German vehicle owners on here but there are many german vehicle enthusiasts like us who would love to own a real one but finances dictate i'm afraid.
good to have you here

i am a tad AC/DC on this one & being involved in the two hobbies can see both sides but if you are totally AC you will never see the DC side & if you are all DC you will never see the AC side.

we have helped for a few years now & a rep from the RBL comes to our meeting in sep/oct with a list of when & where & we chose what is best for us & the vehicles.
this year we are covering Matalans on sat 4th & 11th. WE help out our local branch instead of the main city as it seems more personal.
I agree that the local MVT should have details from the RBL, otherwise there is normally an appeal in local papers for help & of course contact the legion direct.
I also collect during the week as it is not just a weekend event.
i always have a huge sense of fulfilment after helping, most of the Legion members are getting older & can't stand out all day so it needs us younger types to step in & help out
you could always do what i did & join the Legion yourself in your own right. You don't have to be ex forces to join either.

ooh dear, i do feel sorry for the rest of the Beckett family, living with someone with a bad back can be frustrating but hilarious at the same time.
seriously though i hope it gets better Jack.
Russ also suffers & has a shortening of the 1st 5 vertabrea that they wanted to fuse, he wouldn't have it done and has learnt to know his limits.
not a very nice affliction but a physio / ospeopath can work wonders.
get better soon
