  1. Jack I would suggest very old clothes and take something to change into afterwards or get some overalls and if your worried about your hair maybe a hat. My car seats and floor are still trying to recover after all that mud.

Tunnelrat - we will be up for whatever you and paul want to do.

& the harder one are a bit more of a challenge, we don't mind them :-D

Must put rope on my shopping list...

  2. How many reenactors actually wear medals? I personally haven't seen many..

I've just had a look on the WW2 Reenacting Forum & the general opinion on there is that they do not wear medals, it does seem like it's the German reenactors who are the biggest offenders..

Here's a couple of quotes from a German reenactor..

    Note on wearing British medals......

It is easy to get Axis reenactors to wear Third Reich awards, but try to get Allied group members to wear British awards, they refuse to do so. Why should that be any different from wearing Third Reich medals? Any "Brits" over 25 years old could be wearing at least one award by 1944, and anyone over forty years old would be wearing First World War ribbons.

On my DCLI uniform I wear the Long Service/Good Conduct ribbon and the Campaign Service Medal ribbon.

    Cheers, Bill

So there we have it, rules for some and rules for others :(

If you reenact British... thou shall not wear ribbons of any kind.

If you reenact German, wear anything you like, no one will be offended.

Well, that is that one sorted

    Cheers, Bill

  5. to post photos you can to use a photohost like photobucket.

    http://photobucket.com/register.php

When using Photobucket or similar you should have a page like this once you have uploaded your photos:

    width=256 height=192http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e132/safariswing/photohelp.jpg[/img]

what you need to do is highlight everything in the Img Box underneath the photo you want to post then copy & paste it in to your message, your photo won't appear untill you post or preview it..
