  1. So - the latest edition of the Reg't Assoc'ns newsletter arrives today and they are looking for volunteers from the ex-members to take part in the Viersdaage in Nijmegen next year.

I rather fancy doing this (I know - latent masochistic tendencies re-emerging again ) - even though it would mean missing the first couple of days of the W&P show- so thought I would enquire of the gret collective that is HMVF whether any one else has ever done it. And if so - what to take, what to expect etc??

Any out there got the experience to share????

  2. John, you're not over weight, you're like me, undertall, I checked my height/weight ratio & I should be 8ft 6inches tall

Glad I'm not the only one after all!! :-) :-) :-)

Yes, you can own and show a VRC 353. But once you turn it on, you break the law.

If you really want to be picky, once the radio is available for use (connected up and power available) an offence has been committed!

Thanks Andy - thats the clarification I needed :-) Will also save a few bob as the need/desire to find a working set is removed and a non-op unit will suffice.

The RLC Museum holds the B Vehicle Record cards previously held by the Museum of Army Transport.

There is a non-refundable research fee for enquiries of this kind. For the research of one vehicle, there is a charge of £25 and £15 for any additional vehicles accompanying your enquiry.

If you would like to proceed with your enquiry please send us as much information as you can about your vehicle your full Postal Address and a cheque payable to the RLC Museum Trust Fund.

The Royal Logistic Corps Museum Collections

The bulk of the RLC Museum collection is made up from two of the regimental museums of the forming corps; the Royal Corps of Transport Museum, previously situated at Buller Barracks in Aldershot and the Royal Army Ordnance Corps Museum, in Blackdown – both now closed. Unfortunately none of the vehicles held by the RCT Museum were transferred; these instead were held at the Museum of Army Transport in Beverley and then at the National Army Museum’s store after the Museum of Army Transport closed.

    :-)
