Unladen weight here in France is the standard manfactured vehicle with no add ons ie bull bars, living stuff in it etc... and when it goes on a weigh bridge to be tested it must have a full tank of fuel.

looks like a dataplate collector, the TW340 is an Isuzu 6x6 military truck from the 50,s/60,s

My experience was always as a flat bed or with the sides on it and sling a tarp over the load.

As Adam points out some of us are serious 4x4 drivers, I have a Pajero fitted with all terrain(goodrich) tyres and it goes anywhere. then again im/ was a professional driver:cool2: and dont have any problems. Wife loves it when it drives into a ditch it will drive itself out!!:wow: How many people would be affected if ALL 4x4 drivers were subject to another licence? For the moment i have a class 1 and other licences, but the wife only drives it on a car licence. It would just be another way of the government screwing money out of Britons!

Ive just asked the wife who is from there and she said it would be unusual as she knew nothing of the French in Philippines, but it could have been brought over from one of the other islands that had French forces serving in the region after the war.
