Lovely bit of kit, if only we had the money.

I've got pictures back👌

I have been taking photos of the pillboxes on our line, sort of forming a record of there condition at the present time.
Many though are already crumbling away or completely taken over by undergrowth.

Yes, we saw that but the lots we like would be expensive to send. We did wonder about a grouo of us getting together and taking a van up there if we won multiple lots.
-
Our vehicles have never been kept at home, they are a few miles away in our lock-up. I imagine there are quite a few of us in that situation.
-
A lot of very interesting lots, we have been tempted but live the other end of the country.
-
Not your usual type of scam. Imagine the logistics behind moving all the vehicles about?

Looks fantastic. Great to see your Daughter enjoying actually making something. Not a lot of kids want to do that these days.
Any plans to exhibit? That quality needs to be shown off.

Very similar thoughts with us here, Somerset born and bred and very keen on its heritage especially wartime.
I am currently very interested in Pillboxes and the stop line which runs through our village.

Agree with the above, get in touch with the tank museum as they offer plenty of advice.

The Glorious Glosters, lots of history.
You will find plenty of wise heads on the forum.

I have emailed Jack about this, so hopefully he can resolve the problem.
Has the layout of the site also changed for everyone? Things are missing for me and I now have to go a different route to find the latest activity?

Thats a huge undertaking, if anyone can advise it will be on here.
Best of luck.

I kept getting a message that the site was updating and to try later. Now all my icons have gone.

The Pillbox Study Group have lots of information and the website is good.
Where we live we often walk the dog by the river and there are plenty of pillboxes in various states of decay. My youngest and I have great fascination in looking inside, although most are either blocked or waterlogged!
I just think its such a shame that we havent any round here preserved to show people what they would have been like.
-
Anyone any thoughts on or experiences of preserving pillboxes?
-
Any Commers or Hillmans? Interested to see any photos if you have?
-
A Dodge and a Tilly, anymore hidden away?
-
Would be interested to see some pics of the Morris, they are a nice looking vehicle.

I think its a great resource and totally agree the time put into this is huge.
Its of benefit to so many on the forum.

Not good hearing of the rise in thefts. We all need to vigilant.
-
Sounds very much like a targeted and planned theft.

Thats some very tiday work. I often see people simply throw parts away thinking they are too far gone before properly checking them out.
When I saw the pics before reading your text I did wonder if the rim would have been made of wood.

I recall all of those 5 minute jobs that go on for ages and really get under your skin!
Looking very good.
