  1. Thanks Jerry, I guess I could just get an old knackered one and pop it on just so it looks right.
  2. Anyone tried one of these from JMP, seems to have a flick switch inside to convert 6v/12v as required, Jerry would this work with mine keeping an original finish? https://www.joesmotorpool.com/ford-gpw-parts/916-joe-s-motor-pool-6v-12v-voltage-regulator-for-ford-gpw-willys-mb-slat-mb
  3. Great work Jerry, although we've lost quite a bit there is still a lot of original material there, my aim was always to preserve as much originality as possible, tell taffy to turn the psi down, what do you want me to do with the step, are mb and gpw's different?
  4. Speaker I think as I removed a heater earlier, it's moving along nicely now fingers crossed the axles aren't to bad although judging by the rest of it I'd be surprised, better get cracking my end now, biggest job I think will be the hood, hinge repair plus oil canning, then the fenders, grill, seats, windshield.
  5. Good knows what they had in the huge hole on the dashboard, thanks Jerry.
  6. Jesus I had to read that 3 times Jerry, how bad does it look, hard to tell with the pictures? Light buckets should be with you soon. Steve

  9. Looking a lot better Jerry, the spine of the jeep has to be strong.
  10. Hi folks the headlights that came with the MB are not correct, to big? If anyone knows what they belong too or better still need some let me know, I do believe they are original but not on a jeep.
  11. Are these affectionately know has jeep salads? Seems to be quite a lot about so there must be a way of registering them.

  13. Not looking forward to seeing how the rest had been bodged up, dreading axle, diffs etc. Great work though Jerry thank you.
  14. And of course a man who knows what he's doing, probably not the worst one Jerry has done certainly not one of the best it gives a good insight to people starting off.
  15. I guess we now know why the plate was there pretty much holding it together, I promise to give it a nice steady retirement Jerry if jeeps could tell a story this one would be tough.
  16. Hope it's not testing you to much bud, really nice to see life being restored to the old girl which should give many more years of history and enjoyment.
  17. Welcome, and good luck, i have had mine for around 12 months now first impressions were it looked ok at best, many months down the line i have asked a time served Jeep restorer for help, you do not know what is inside the tin until you open it (ie tub off etc) and that is just the start, you can see my MB in the thread new member new jeep, there is now a dedicated thread to its restoration.
