  1. and that one will be the prat that i know who drove a good few miles from a show to his compound with a track pin nut missing, if the pin had came out, game over
  2. we think a crushed velvet look would be nice if there is any thing we can do for next yrs event, just let us know
  3. ok, can we have somewhere in the shade, near the ice cream stand(they melted on the way back), and waiter service from the beer tent to our patch the only real moan we have was the toilets down past us never got emptied and some one suggested that if someone has a period wagon then it might benifit everyone if its put next to a living history group of that period.i think with a few little tweeks it can be a really good show.hopefully what we displayed was ok for everyone.
  4. lol you must of seen the only tall ones every made, when they were withdrew it must of been at the time when the mod/stores cut all surplus stuff up as ive only ever seen the new un issued stuff in small.i think big ish ripstop trs must be the hardest bit of kit to find ever
  5. 95 rip stop trs are as rare as hens teeth and what ones are around are made for very small skinny people, they were never on general issue, our battalion tested them out, wore out very quickly
  6. we came over and had a good nose at the signals gear, all amongst the millions of kids trying to pull various bits of it could be a very good show with abit of tweeking and fore thought, we were hoping they would put something like yours over by us but it wasnt to be:(
  7. looks like the one from bristol, he was down at the beulieu show this yr
  8. a few piccys of our display and a cracking u boat was a good weekend but not as busy as i thought it might have been, plus i think the layout needs rethinking, putting the beer tent across access for a couple of the groups not the best ideal, but still worth going for
  9. was that your 439 we saw come in then? yeh was a very poor turn out wagon wise.didnt help with tank fest being on, we were kept quite busy over on the far side with our display
  10. looks to be a great weekend, various reg units there along with loads of mvt, living history and various bits and bobs, well worth a visit
  11. big flag or a huge trf as a background?
  12. dont know about displaying it in you back garden, dont think you will get many visitors, and the tracked wagons will play havoc with your flower beds:-)
  13. it must be an early type, as the poles are thinner than the masts we have and it doesnt have any of the bits with it, shame
  14. how wind proof will it be?, might need some kind of 12x12 storm lashings ?
  15. yeh, loop has a bit cut out, well not cut out but off set so loops not complete, never seen one of them before 2nd one, we thought it was camo poles but not sure, webbing has a pouch on front as if to put in guy ropes and pegs etc? will get piccy of him to post up
  16. one of our guys has picked up some kit but is a bit baffled on what is is, sorry no pick but ill do my best to descripe. 1st one, og fiber glass pole same length look to a infantymans mast but the section has a big hoop on the top, bit like the pole in the kids game where if you touch the wire it buzzes, but much much bigger 2nd one, its in a canvas 58 style bag about the same size as the infantry mans mast mag, it contains similar fiber glass og poles which when put together are about the same hight as the infantry mans mast, no other bits are with it. i will get him to put some piccys up asap, cheers
  17. you say cgi wont make it as good, this clip is from a few yrs back, all cgi, never be as good as real lancs but bloody good thoughhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNJ8rIEPLOo&feature=related
