Thanks All
That makes sense.. Forgot that there was a supporting bracket on the Offside chassis rail
I take it that there is a cover plate that just drops into the hole, is this clipped in ?
Also now know where the 'wedge' shapes plate goes (Attached to the longitudinal handbrake support) as this came in a box of bits.

Hi
The Master Brake Cylinder is on the far right hand side, so it won't be an easy access

Great show, nice to see the Royal Armouries Sexton at the show.
On Friday the inside of my 9x9 was lit up by one of the lightning flashes, the lightning display was impressive

Hi
Not a Larkspur radio mount that I know of, possibly for a teleprinter to go with a C11/R210 conbination ?
What are the dimensions of the tray ?

Thanks Richard
I wasn't aware of the 20tpi British Cycle Thread (only ever used the 26tpi one)
Thread is 20tpi (looks like 60 degree)
Inner thread diameter is 0.637" and thread depth is 0.025"
This makes it as CEI 11/16" 20tpi thread, so just got to find/make a nut
see http://www.motalia.com/Html/Charts/cycle_chart.html
for CEI thread datails

Hi
Does anyone know the the thread that is used on 1940's lucas generators ? According to the parts list it is 'special' which probably means that it is an odball size.'
I had to cut mine so that generator could be taken apart to be repaired, so I am after a replacement.
It is not 5/8 UNF (18tpi) , it is more like M17 fine (20tpi), if it is this any ideas where I can get one

Hi
Several people on the forum have been very helpful, I normally post thanks in that thread or by PM, however on some of the other forums I belong to there is specific thanks section.
Any thoughts ? , Could be a new heading in the Community Service section

Floor panels looking very good, what primer are you using?
The only part of the floor pan I have is the one for handbrake, I will have to make a complete new floor pan in due course.

Hi
Now that I know what the power pump is (but not how it is mounted or driven). I have been looking at the hand pump. There appears to be two types of pump
- Semi – reversible hand pump (like a bilge pump) not sure of the size possibly K2 ?
- And these (photo copied from this forum)
Having had a look at the photos I can find on line it looks like I should be using the ones in the attached photo.
What size are these ?
Also is the tubular part for a pump handle?
Can’t see how they work...
Has anyone go two for sale ?
Cheers

PTO Assembled today...
Control rod details, handle is made from a de-chromed tap handle, and the ball is made from a small doo handle. The thin rod is pulled up so the the lever can me nove to engage the PTO, it is sprun loaded so that it stays in place
just about to start on the pump drive shafts (still looking for the pump)

Hi
Thanks for the photos, very nice tooling , I bet they are heavy. Using steel that thickness means that the pressed plate does not tend to warp.

HI
The 'rib' pressings look very good, what tooling did you use for these ?

PTO re-assembled
I think that the oil seal compression pad should be held in with studs and locknuts (will make some 1/4 BSF studs to suit)
Made one of the control rods, just need to turn up the other and make a handle
Also made a re-usable bypass filter as the ZS1 cartriges are hard to find.
The base of the ZS1 is cut out so that the insert can be fitted. The insert consists of a 2.75" OD copper tube (eBay £9.99), a shaped end cap made from some scrap brass sheet, and a 2.75" drain plug (£5 from a local agricultural hardware suppliers). The tube in the picture was linked to a small compressor so that I could pressure test it (no leaks at 4Bar/60PSI).
Apart from the old case of the ZS1, the flange on the inside of the ZS1 cartridge is re-used as the two brass pipe fittings screw into this. Inside the ZS1 there is a paper cartridge with metal end caps, the top end cap is trimmed in diameter and re-used so the replacement cartridge (from a Mercedes) fits nicely, the spring on the base of old ZS1 cartridge that holds it in place is re-used to make sure the replacement cartridge seals nicely. Little bit of filler at the base, undercoat on...
Just need to paint it black. Overall very pleased with the result

Hi
Just a thought...
Many Landrovers use 10 spline half shafts, don't know what size yours is, the end flange on yours looks very similialr to a Lightweight. I will see if I can get some meaurements of a Landrover one tommorro.
